Don't you just hate it when there are video ads that you can't skip, but when you actually are given a chance to skip the ad (usually have to wait 5 seconds first), it turns out to be something you may actually be interested in (or it just looks too awesome to skip)???
It's rawng, it's RAWNG!
If american-style anime counts, then I believe it was just about every DiC/Andy Heyward cartoon there was (inspector Gadget, Heathcliff), Super Mario Bros.), or Saban's version of Grimm's Fairy Tales.
If not, then the first [Japanese] anime I remember ever watching was Sailor Moon.

It may seem that way, though I'd really feel surprised they would summon someone from Philadelphia to do this.
And yes, he is retired, but was also arealofficer.
He made mention of a film you could find online called "Inside Job" which is what was the essential reason he pulled this "pre-planned political stunt", as its been called.
This mod has potential to become the best mod that ever lived!
There are a few words of his, that I thought were a bit interesting/surprising moments before he was :ctually arrested (11:19-11:39), but I guess that thinking a bit deeper on the context, it sounds like he would just be doing his job against his will, but from what I've gathered the Philly PD hasn't taken the extreme measures that NYPD has with using pepper spray or brutal violence.
!He was even featured on MSNBC after the arrest!
Spread the word, there are people in law enforcement that believe law enforcement needs to be fixed to serve EVERYONE!
@OP: I'd love to argue a lot with you, but I realize who I'm talking to. There will be haters and lovers of Steve Jobs like there are fans and opposition of Justin Bieber, then there are the ppl that just don't care at all ("who"?), or have mixed thoughts.
@Everyone else: Pixar was disbanded from Apple and acquired by Disney in 2006. Even before then, Pixar was originally a subsidiary of Lucasfilm in 1979. I just pray that the new CEO of Apple will be a caring, progressive "Tom Kalinske" instead of a ruthless. jaded "Bernie Stolar".,,
What I want in the Wii U
1. Whatever made the Wii's predecessors awesome
2. Music/video playback (Iwata-san, the time will come when this cannot be ignored)
3. Something that is not Jackie Chan.
You said this game was uploaded...to NewGrounds? If that's what you mean, then I have no idea.
If it was a console game, the closest I've ever heard of according to your description is this game.

Ah yes, the Theme of Travis, ne?
In reply to a number of others on this thread, again, we can go beyond "typecast" RPG musicians, so it can be anyone from Koji Kondo to Jun Senoue to June Chikuma to Kim Junsung.
Nice to know someone knows about SoundFA (SoundFashionAdviser/Advisor, for those who like to "de-acronmyize" words); it was founded by a former co-founder of SoundTeMP (no surprise there!). On a side-note, it's probably this reason why Gravity appears to have opened up making music for its Ragnarok Online game to more groups and individuals (i.e. WorkSpace, Warren, Neocyon, Denis Koishi; all of which I have very little knowledge of.
If there are Korean equivalents or worthy rivals to the likes of Keiki Kobayashi, Takayuki Hattori, or Kenichiro Fukui, lemme hear about em!
To go into more detail, I too think Korean composers do a fine job on MMOs oft moreso than the Japanese ones, especially when it comes to the anime-style ones. Composers like SoundTeMP seem to produce tracks that seem to help a gamer visualize that they are living the game as an anime, instead of the oft-used rock/classical combo heard in Japanese counterparts (there are exceptions like the work done by people like Kohei Tanaka, but the RPGs he worked on weren't MMOs).
I remember seeing comments on YouTube about works in Ragnarok Online that sound like they could be used in even Western-oriented games like Call of Duty, and I think I couldn't have agreed with them anymore. I really think SoundTeMP really has potential to do console games if given the chance.
Is it unusual that this guy came to mind when I saw this thread?
If there was a duke out between, say, SoundTeMP vs Nobuo Uematsu, Hitoshi Sakimoto, and Masashi Hamauzu who would you prefer?
I don't know that many Korean composers, but I know they exist, and when it comes to at least MMO music, they do not disappoint!
If you know of Korean composers that compose outside the RPG realm, discuss them here, and how you think they compare to their respective Japanese counterparts, if any.
I'm sort of singling out American VG composers to simply focus on [East] Asian audio. There are some similarities between the nationalities in terms of style, but there definitely are a few things where they will sound unique.
Composition groups like SoundTeMP are very diverse in their sound, but as a whole have a sound that may not be that common with what you hear from Japanese composers in the same field of work.
If this type of discussion proves too rich for anyone's blood, I'll plot this thread in the Audio forum.
Go!
A more fitting title would be "Newgrounds' at Death's Door".
A lot of major sites like YouTube (at least the desktop version), still see Flash as its fulcrum. I've only recently been hearing about HTML5, not really knowing what it'd be used for.
I'm sure Microsoft would feel humbled to see more sites using its SilverLight technology. In the event of CPU overuse or something like that, it seems that the only browser player that seems to crash the most if at all, is Flash (seen this scenario unfold many a time lately when tab browsing between YouTube, NewGrounds, and the like, and it also doesn't seem browser specific either.)
Shockwave will still have its fans and sites (there wouldn't be a shockwave.com without it!), and I pray that doesn't get the axe anytime soon.
This movement does seem a bit strange in its goals, but at least they seem more clearly defined than those we find at all in Occupy Wall Street.
I also just spotted a [high rated] comment on a similar YouTube video, stating that DICE recorded the guns from real life, while the gun sounds heard in Modern Warfare 3 were computer generated. CG audio? Wonder how true that holds...

Ah, I thought NO ONE would mention that. I wore headphones to while listening to the comparison and found myself feeling darn near deaf hearing BF3s guns, even at the lowest volume setting. MW3s guns sounded more muted, as if to mask the fact they sound identical or something. It's amazing to see how many guns they have in common. Though, it is disappointing that they both don't have certain guns like Deagles, MPK5s, or shotguns, unless of course only one game has either.
It was a surprise for me to find out what this thread was really about, thinking it was in the wrong forum. Why's the Ruckloid not unlocking the General one?
My mind is also blown how different even some of the guns sounds in either one, compared to how they sound in computer FPS like Counter-Strike: Source or Urban Terror 4.1 (both of which have oft-significantly different sounding guns with the same name; in most cases I'd prefer UrT) .
Hi rez version to feel the FULL effect here.
a treat for the quality-philes out there :D. I'm shutting up now!

If that proves too rich for the eyes, perhaps the more realistic animated amazon Ivy would be more fitting on the eyes.

Hello NewGrounders, and those that think I'm a 13 year old girl
(November 13th, Facebook).
I'm hear to warn all the other potential "13 year old girls", about yet another trap I NEARLY fell for today. Apparently we have tricksters posing as Yahoo! personnel (I kid you not, the name of the sender was "Yahoo! Mail") claiming that we need to secure some lost mail because they recently upgraded their servers.
Well, I guess I saw no harm in it at the time, and wanted to go ahead and see what 2 e-mails were put on hold, because of an event like this. I click the link, and...what the shell??
I'm at the Yahoo! login page!? Not quite, if time is taken to look up in the URL, notice that we're no longer on the Yahoo! website!
Instead we're at what appears to be a site posing as a "proxy" to Yahoo! (or at least a page of it).
The URL may have a different name from recipient to recipient; in my case it was a place known as "www.zurnaci.info". Don't see the name Yahoo in that at all. The website alone doesn't appear dangerous, but the fact that they have a page that is a 100% replica of Yahoo!'s sign-in page, is a big RED FLAG (given that you add "/config/login_verify2.php" to the aforementioned URL).
I don't trust it with a grain of salt, and I advise others NOT TO risk an account hack by entering information into Zurnaci's Yahoo! clone. You should not have to login again, because you already had to be logged in to even SEE that message!
That is all. Below is the message I recieved.
Hey Blue Stinger fans!
A friend on YouTube shared with me news that Famitsu has apparently confirmed that companies Altron and Vicious Cycle Software are developing a sequel to the Dreamcast classic blockbuster for the Xbox360/Kinect.
I guess if you understand Japanese you'll know whether this claim is true or false:
http://www.famitsu.com/title/0000/0000/2 223/index.html
Hopefully its true as the 360 is the first and only next-gen system I have.

Tried many different search queries, can't find it on YouTube, let alone Vimeo!
My guess is that the title/tag has been masked or the vids have been taken down due to awareness of the trap...
At this point I really don't care for it.
This is a Public Service Announcement for any facebook users here on NewGrounds. There's a problem that's spreading across facebook through chat from your friends. It's not a real video in the link, but a trap that when triggered will go to all of your other friends that are available to chat.

Spread the word. Zuckerberg has indirectly gave me a new reason to loathe his website. I just logged out of both computer and mobile phone, in hopes that no more damage will be done.
If any of this sounds familiar, or you see something like what I just mentioned here,DO NOT CLICK THE LINK!
below is an image of the preview of the link you'd see, you've been warned, it's not for the squeamish.
A random troll shows up and says:
"Do you want a 3rd boyfriend, or a 3rd manwhore?"
I say, stick with Counter-Strike: Source, or Urban Terror. Less hurt on your wallet/purse.
Modern Warfare 3 may not have much to offer in comparison to its sequels, but certainly this is news, folks.
One thing I think I didn't really like about remakes, at least the monster ones, is that the plot has some significant changes to it.
A couple of monster films that come to mind include Mighty Joe Young and Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman.
They both die in the originals, but they somehow survive in their respective remakes. Not sure why they did that, but that's how it is; Godzilla on the other hand was a bit of a flip when they did a "remake" here in the States ('Zilla actually dies).
If anything, the movies that should be remade, are the ones that really bombed at the box office.
It may feel quite recent to some here, but Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within should be one of those. In the remake, it should feauture content that would better closely resemble something that Final Fantasy gamers can relate to, especially like having Nobuo Uematsu score the film this time around.
I'd love to see a remake of Wargames, where Adam Sessler plays the ill-fated blond haired man that the late John Spencer portrayed. Just seeing him in it, would make my day!
Apparently these days, games need to be more competent, even if that means generating massive amounts of fanboys/fangirls on opposing ends of genres like this.
Games will be different, just like consoles are different. What may not be seen as fair today, perhaps aiding in the "elitist" comments you hear, is the fact that BattleField 3 is not available for the Wii, unlike Modern Warfare 3.
These problems will only continue to escalate, until at some point the world decides to become less divided up, and more unified, and have the "big 3" console makers or whoever they may be in the future, come together and make one awesome console.
Perhaps even go as far to have once competing software devs merge ideas, reducing the "Team Edward vs Team whatever that other guy's name is"-like quarrel between gamers.
Yeah, I know this sounds very before its time and perhaps impossible, but certainly something where we'd see less complaint threads of this type around.
As I spend a lot of time in the audio forum, I tend to always want to see Chronamut as Chronomut.
on a side-note (perhaps), I also tend to mix up names like seeing joethesouleater as joshhunsaker or SineRider as Spikrodd.

Search "SenshiCon" (she co-founded that)

One day...
Just thought "Epic Alaskan Snowstorm Coming" wouldn't be much of a "big deal" to Newgrounders. So I pulled a Tyler Perry by announcing Rina-chan as the "main focus", but then you "watch the movie" and see that there's more than meets the eye.
It's all in the title, not really the content!
