Its not my contest, its mine and 15 other guys contest and wyldfyre is one of them so after my trys being locked twice he decided to give it a go cause we have deadline's and we have kept tom fulp waiting for shitloads of time so we are trying to get this project going =).

We need a cover for our collab album "Beyond the Horizons", we already have quite a few entries and the competition is getting good =).
Anyways if you think you have what it takes, post your entry here with your album cover art, or pm it to me.
The title of the album is "Beyond the Horizons".
Feelings of the Album: RPG, Sad, Happy, Conflict, Fear, Victory etc.
Genre: Classical/Ambient/Downtempo
We don't need any artist names on the cover because there are so many we will just include that on the back and probably on the inside of the CD.
Size = 500x500 pixels
Deadline = September 4th

The winner gets a free CD with all the artists signatures on it.

RSS and Revenue sharing have boosted 0-bombing to something insane.
Im not happy with how the Audio Portal is right this second. Im watching
my friends get bombed badly after they work so hard on a song and for
what? For money/popularity manipulation.

PROBLEMS!!
1. RSS - This makes 0-bombing easier then ever. No longer do you have
to view a persons page you can RSS everyone you think is a threat and
design an auto-script to go with it.
- Iv talked to a lot of my music listeners (the people that wont 0-bomb)
and they don't even know how to work the RSS!! I thought this was cool at first
that an update system happened and it still is cool but its having a horrible
effect on the portal.

2. Revenue Sharing - This gives more reason then ever to manipulate the score
sheets. People want top 5's now not only for Downloads/fans...now its also
for money. This portal is going to go through some major drops because of
these updates. I LOVE THE REVENUE SHARING!!! its a cool idea! But its giving
0-bombers more reason for what they are doing.

Solution Choices:
1. To vote you must review and your vote ?/5 will also show up on the top of
the review.
- Artists love to bomb others because no one knows that they did it.
- Artists will stop 0-bombing because other people can see what they
doing and they will be risking their entire reputation.

2. After you vote their becomes a "See who voted" button.
- When you click the button it will have a list of users and what they
voted. Example "F-777 (5/5), Kr1z (5/5), Wyldfyre1 (4/5)".
- This way its not as public but you still can't hide who you are.

The solution isn't to stop "Revenue" and "RSS". The solution is to stop
the 0-bombers from being so safe. "Revenue" and "RSS" are awesome
ideas its just that they open new doors for 0-bombers.

No, you make good sense. But making a contest and saying "I WANT MUSIC THAT GENERATES EMOTION" is redunant, because regardless what you do, some type of emotion will be put into the music, because as far as I remember, the posters on NG are not robots :P

But i explained in the rules that it has to be
a deep emotion and i further explained that
i want it to be powerful and something that
can move you just by listening to it.

And yes i knocked off trance for a few reasons
not cause its easy, the good trance makers out
there it is REALLY hard...

BUT...

Most people can ONLY do trance and its hard for
them to do a new genre =). So this brings the
challenge up a bit and plus most contests have
been dominated by trance makers so this is a good
one to give all other genres a chance ;).
