There might also be some issue of what is set as the recording device, it should be set to mic but it might also be something like 'what you hear' which would also record whatever the output to the speakers would be. Look in the recording section of volume control.

I'd like to be able to delete some of my older stuff, it sucks that people can view your really old terrible stuff and get the wrong impression about you. The artists should have more control over their work.

I used to use Ejay tonnes when I was about 13 or 14. That was back in the days of Rave Ejay. I don't think you can ever produce anything that should be publicly released on it though I found it a very good tool for practicing composition skills and getting an idea what goes into a song, where it goes, how good that will sound etc. With it all being drag and drop style you get a really strong idea of song structure from it.

I use a real drum machine (Boss DR-3) and record them in Cooledit. But then again, I'm weird.

They could at least let you upload improved versions of songs over existing ones like they let you do with the flashes, there'd be abuses of course but I think it'd be worth it.
