I've only ever used FL Studio, to be fair alot of people do slate it due to it ease of use compared to other programs out there, I simply use it for the piano role... Iv bought a multitrack recorder so i can adjust EQ etc on that (as the EQ in FL is wank), purchased additional software for sound (eg. Nexus, Vanguard, Atmosphere) and to be fair with the amount i'v spent on other software / hardware the songs sound as good as any other
BUT.............
if I wasn't to but all these additionals and just use FL as it comes I wouldn't recomend it out the 2, the preset synths / fx in the sofware aint amazing..
I suppose it's just depending on whether or not you'll mainly be using other software for your tracks, if your only gonna use FL for the piano roll and maybe a few other things (the reverb effect isn't that bad i suppose) then yeah go for it, its nice and simple to use.....
if your wanting this program to do alot more for you (on its own) then go with some other program...
That about sums it up i think
