Welcome to the audio portal. It's an ongoing problem that may never get solved, but rest assured everyone suffers from them. Your best bet is to try and get a big hit to gain yourself some fans. (IE making the top 5)

As well as compression try adding a layer or two depending on what your kick needs. If you need more low end, add a deep kick, if you need more punch, try adding a snare.

I still dont think people are getting the whole demo aspect. It's supposed to be a clip of a song you're working on exclusively for the EP. And I think he said something like they have to be around 1 minute for a demo. Making a song, putting it on newgrounds disqualifies you from getting on to the CD with that song.

I actually dont even submit anything. I just open newgrounds then open and close my laptop until a dust particle flies in between the screen and the keys and somehow hits enter and creates a song for me.

I actually just bought a touchscreen computer so i can open magix and garageband and just punch the screen. I just sidechain whatever comes out of that, then upload it.

It really depends on what youre using the headphones for I think. I think most audio artists here would agree that a good pair of sennheiser or bose headphones are pretty solid.

I feel like people are getting what the whole DEMO thing entails. Most people are putting almost a full song that they'll change a bit... Is that really counted as a demo? Or just a complete unfinished track.

Well it's supposed to be in your News feed... However I for one don't see that as a very good place as no one really looks at most people's news posts.

The closest place for something like this would be the audio advertisements thread. It just makes a clutter if people make a thread for every band they like.

This forum is pretty much for the discussion on the creation of audio. Not the appreciation of it. There's a quote like that in the sticky, but thats all I remember.
