I checked out the Castle Crashers preview and that game looks really awesome! Is it going to be on the consoles, Flash or both? Either way good luck and I can't wait to play it.

My goal this year is to get EntropicOrder.net back out there with new games in 2008 and to take my Flash abilities to the next level with bigger and better games than I've ever created before.

There ARE indeed "cheat" codes. They are actually progress codes that you get for beating levels.

Here are some hints for getting a high score. Get 5 power ups. Then, hit a ramp at max speed (25mph) and go straight up in the air. In the air, pull a Drill Bit with Fred or a Wing Walker with Dave and hold them as long as you can. The tricks that you can hold give you a LOT more points. Also, do a Triple Flip while doing them. If you can, land backwards or in a Seat Spin (press X and Z at the same time) to continue your combo.

I've gotten about 200,000 on the first level, so don't give up!

Use this code in the course editor to test your tricks with:

The latest project from PsychoGoldfish and myself, Sik Trix BMX, has finally been released! About a year in the making, this game has awesome graphics and gameplay. It has 13 character selection and customization, 35 unique tricks, 5 levels with power ups, plus a level editor. Play Sik Trix BMX.

Good question!

I'm a moralist, humanist, agnostic atheist, compatiblist (soft determinist), masochist? (but not the crazy kind, I just believe some pain is healthy), scientific materialist (which is a prerequisite for determinism as far as I know...), and possibly a moral realist. I also believe in infinite time and the power of optimism (meditation and psychosomatics).

The biggest thing I believe in is the ability of every human being to find happiness and meaning by making a difference in themselves and the world. We can all change our lot in life if we would just believe in ourselves.

I tried playing on the MSN Gaming Zone but people keep quitting about half way through which is about 2 or 3 hours and it's really pissing me off.

Sites that do Flash for fun are cool, even if they are very similar to NG and even if they make money. But, when these companies come in and don't even care about having fun or anything and are just trying to make a profit, that's when it pisses me off.

I didn't accuse the Clock Crew of anything, I am suggesting that one or a few of them may be cheating. Also, other people have been thinking the same thing too. I really didn't think it was inappropriate for the front page. I'm sorry that it was.

They have 800 registered members on their site, so if they make a news post telling their members to go to your site, or Newgrounds, and vote on stuff, that's a heck of a lot of votes everday.

I am going to have to talk to Tom about not allowing non-NG staff to post on the front page, because it is being abused.

If someone is faking their IP, there isn't any easy way to stop them. No matter what we do. You can fake a thousand email addresses as well.

It's way easier to fake a thousand IP's than it is to fake a thousand emails, logging in and out of every single account, with every single password (cuz if all the passwords were the same, you could likely suspect it and block the accounts).

I'm just suggesting members only voting, you don't have to agree.

That's true. I didn't expect it to be in the top 5 at all. I just didn't think it deserved to be blammed. I just wanted it to be there in my submissions. There's a difference between having a great movie and having a movie that doesn't suck so much that it should be removed.

But, I'm not so much complaining about it being blammed, I just wanted to send people over to see it if they haven't yet.

As for the clocks, the worst clock movie is still 100x better than garbage like the zelda rap or another anti-Osama movie!

That may be true, and I never generalized all clocks.

I never made a generalization. All I said was that at least one clock (or clock-lover) is upping his or his fellow clocks' work unfairly (whether by cheating for by 'fifenating'). Also by downing other's work in the same manner.

You're right, I'm really sorry about that. I shouldn't have said shitty, and that was more an expression of my feelings on this whole issue. I know they probably took some time to make, and they were actually kind of funny. I just don't think they deserve to be above the other great work that was submitted, that's all.

I was wondering about that myself. Gooseberry is pretty much non-affiliated with the ClockCrew... most of us dont even wat the clock part in his name.

If that's true, then fine. I only said clock because he calls himself a clock. I'm not generalizing. Whoever is doing it, if there is cheating going on, then I just want to make an effort to stop it.

After all... how many people around here actually vote 1-4 for a movie??

Most of my work is under 200k, and it's because I know how to optimize Flash. It challenges people to learn how to do so.

MisterEd, that was so insightful. What sucks is most people will merely glance over what you said and not take it to heart.

I guess it's a little different for me because I'm not just doing it for popularity. I would like to think that I can make a living off of my site someday, as opposed to programming applications in an office somewhere. I have to work either way, and I would like to do what I love.

I'm not trying to start a fight about my fair chance for popularity. I'm more so just trying to make these sites a fair and fun place to be. Although, sometimes it is easy to get caught up in all that meaninglessness with everyone else being that way, not that it is an excuse.

I'm not trying to make any generalizations about anyone here, clocks or not. I am just trying to address the issue of cheating so that maybe people will be a bit more encouraged to submit good quality work.

But on the general topic- I don't think that making people log in to vote is a bad idea. But I'm sure that the people doing this have multiple accounts to increase their voting power- so it wouldn't help anyway. It is a shame that some people have such boring lives that this seems like a good idea.

Well, even if a person has 100 accounts (like someone else said their friend had), they would first have to create 100 emails, then validate every one of them, and then login and logout of every single one of them each time they want to vote. And in the end, they only acheived 100 votes that day, as opposed to 1000. At least this effort would discourage people from doing it. I can't imagine anyone doing that over and over and over again.

Plus, if I suspect duplicate accounts, I can quickly, easily, and efficiently block any of those accounts. I just set most of these scripts up recently, so that's why I'm thinking about switching to membership only voting.

Also, Pic of the Moment has vote up or down system. I'm thinking about switching to only voting up.

Just so everyone knows, I never made a generalization about all clocks are cheaters or anything. I simply said that some clocks (or clock) is obviously cheating. Don't you see? I am only pointing out one instance of cheating. If cheating is going on in more places than what I have pointed out, then this only more supports my suggestion. Fixing cheating will win both the small and big battle Frank.

Well, the thing is I don't think people would want to join anyway if they see that there's no chance in hell of getting on the top lists. As far as just users without memberships, I'm not too worried about that. They can still come and look at the pictures, they just can't vote.

I used to personally validate every account, and i think a lot of people got sick of waiting for me to send the confirmation email. Its a tough call.

Yeah, I guess it sucks because there really is no real way to effectively validate other than email and IP.

Either way, we've come a long way from cookie voting, eh?

Some clock is using IP spoofing to vote insane amounts of both EO and NG. I even made a front page post that includes some info on this so hopefully Wade and Tom do something about this. I know I plan to.

It's unfortunate but I think I have to restrict voting to members only, which may result in further membership restrictions.

What up NG? I've been doing a lot of work since I got my computer fixed about a month ago.

First off, I just released a game Kenshino and I have been working on called Demonic Goat. It's a fun side scrolling game. Check it.

Second, I released Flash submissions on my site experimentally. We'll see how it works out. You have to be an approved submitter, and your work must be under 200k. These restrictions will hopefully give good work more attention. Show me some good flash and an EO membership and I'll consider approving you.

Third, EO has a new layout. So far people seem to like it.

I also made a movie called The Pesky Eyeball that got blammed at 50 votes that really wasn't bad enough to be blammed (in my opinion), so please watch that so I don't feel so much like I wasted all the time making it.

Check this puzzle game out (Virus Game). I thought it was a pretty novel idea.

And now for a bit about cheating:

"mistary man steils cadny1" has 1,697 votes in only 4 days.

BaconBurgerClock has taken daily feature 3 of the last 4 days with shitty flash movies.

Gooseberry_Clock has a score of 2864 with 2964 votes on a picture at EntropicOrder.com. The next 13 highest rated pics are all by clocks, with at least 200 votes each.

The top 2 member sites on EntropicOrder.com are clock sites, with thousands of votes each, the next site having approximately 40 votes.

Both NG and EO don't require memberships to vote, but use IP addresses (I'm assuming) instead. I believe there are clocks who use IP spoofing to waste everyone's time.

Voting honestly becomes pointless. Submittions to portals based on rank become pointless. The portal loses quality submissions and features nothing but cheater's work, which is bound to be worthless.

Should voting be restricted to only email verified members, so that those members who obviously cheat can be more efficiently banned? Should accounts be verified by more than email? I recommend NG does something, because I plan to do something myself.
