Confront him directly and tell him that it makes you uncomfortable and you need for him to stop.
If he doesn't then you'll probably have no choice but to end the friendship.

Yes, generally. I want to see one either way.

I don't think she was trying to say anything except for that she agreed with what I said, so how did she make herself look like an ass? It's also pretty apparent that I got to the root of the issue whether you agreed with that statement or not so maybe that's what she was getting at.

You just admitted that us that you enjoy causing these arguments and shitting this place up in general so that's it. You're basically just an arrogant, self-serving moron. There's no more room for argument nor any justification for your behavior, so do us a favor and at the very least just stop trying to defend yourself if you're going to act like this.

So what's the deal with starting discussions like this anyways? Do you just like arguing or what?

I don't know yet. I could definitely see myself going taking hormones and want to live, dress, and present as a woman full time, but I'm okay with my physical sex and see it as irrelevant to what gender I am so I don't know how much further I'll go there as far as surgery. I want to alter my body just enough that I can feel confident in calling myself a woman, and no further.

I really just need more time to talk and think it over with someone who knows what they're talking about, since I was so repressed for so long. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

I start next month. Got medical stuff dealt with Friday, new doctor and everything. Was quite surprised that they actually get a lot of people like us there. They said I was lucky to have gotten an appointment next month so soon when most people have to wait 2-3 months before they could start.

That's great! Yeah and that really shocked me too. I called four therapists around here that specialize in gender issues and they were all either not taking new clients or booked for the next couple of months. Especially surprising because my city is very conservative and doesn't have a very big population at all. Guess there's a lot more of us out there than I thought, huh?

This actually could have had discussion potential though. Instead of just listing what you thought you could have asked "what is your favorite/least favorite states and why?" and then shared your opinions.

I get the feeling that the reason you didn't do that is because you don't care about what other's opinions are and just wanted a platform from which to share and aggressively defend your own thoughts on the subject.

Response to: is earth better without us... Posted April 13th, 2014 in General

Just remember: there's been dozens of mass extinctions and even if every single living thing over about an inch in length were to suddenly die, the majority of lifeforms on Earth would go on as they always have.

Ultimately, it does matter if we exist or not to life on Earth as a whole. We should be concerned about our own survival though, and that involves lessening our environmental impact. We're a lot better than we used to be though so I'm not really worried about it.

I told my therapist that I've been experiencing gender dysphoria for a long time and she's going to get me talking to someone that has more experience with that sort of thing and runs the transgender group on campus.

Finally telling someone in real life gave me a bit more courage and I told my brother today. It was scary at first but all he had to say is that he always thought I might, because he remembers me dressing up as a girl when I was young. He wanted to know if I wanted to do a full transition and was really supportive.

Anyways I just had to share that because right now I'm happier than I can remember being and I'm really glad that I have people who are accepting in my life so I don't have to hide anymore.

Yeah, I think the Hawthorne effect might be at work here.
I really don't believe that you can get good therapy when you're being filmed on live television. I mean I guess it's possible but that kind of behavior has to have an effect on how people behave, I just don't think shows like Dr. Phil are a good idea.

I find it hilarious that they're intelligent enough to use a ladder to escape but still got lured back into their enclosures using bananas

Though I guess the fact that they came back willingly is evidence that they don't hate being in captivity as much as some people would like to believe

I've always wondered: Do you think game developers should continue using guns for what has now become practically mandatory for FPS games? Or do you think that this feature should remain?

In my honest opinion, I think game devs should stop using guns. I think it's one of those things that has run its course for me, and now I want something new. Hell, I'll even take no weapons at this point, like it was in 1992 - 2005(6) for FPS games.

Once my friend took all his PS2 games to school in a bag and sold them there. If you didn't have the money yet he wrote your name down and you could get them from him later. He sold all of them in a few days.
