Hm you have a point there... I love all you European bretheren :D
In terms of a 3rd party uprising, I notice a tendency of voters to be hesitant or avoidant of third parties much like citizens are hesitant or avoidant of anything which has to do with global warming... why is that?
Can someone lock this hateful thread? Good lord man I'm not even asian and I feel offended.

Did Churchil really say that? Or are you just trying to pull a FOX on us? You sly fox...
SuperKooter I wouldn't go as far as to say "America Wins" but you will probably see things change in the future... which is something conservatives fear.
"To let go of the things you hold dear, you must learn" so says Yoda. "Attachment leads to fear of loss, fear leads to pain, pain leads to anger, anger leads to hatred, hatred leads to the darkside." Yoda commands you! :P Only joking but funny enough, itactually makes sense.
Rumsfeld wanted to resign on two previous occasions but Bush would not let him. I wonder why he finally gave in?

Wow California. I now have another reason to hate the state I grew up in and to save to move away. I think after this vote it is safe to say those californians are either misinformed or poorly-educated, greedy, environmentally-insensitive easily-scared-by-oil-company-advertisement, hypocritical, gas-guzzling, narcisist, superficial, shallow, moronic, motherfuckingcocksuckingasslickingcumswapping vomiteatingtubgirlswallowing S.O.B's :D

So you decided to draw a division line when what is necessary in order to not tie things up in legislation is unity and compromise? Thanks a whole lot you're really helping us not stay divided and at each other's throats. I hope it's of some amusement to you.
We the people... declare this page on the regulars forum a declaration of independence from all you non-regulars subservient to the crown.
Howcome democrats didn't make a huge deal of this slip up? http://images.google..en&q=bush+finger The picture with the blue background is the only legitimate one. The other photos are doctored. And please don't say "omg u guggglad da pic an iz fake cuz ish on google n shite!"
His comment does sound like a joke, but still, it was in bad taste. He already apologized. There IS some truth to what he said though. The most highly-educated and wealthiest people in the country don't end up in te front lines of Iraq and there is no disputing that. Of course, that should not imply that all soldiers are mal-educated just the ones who are doing stupid things like Lyndie and her ilk.
How's property in Seattle? I know it's a beautiful place in terms of scenery. I've been considering moving there in a few years, but now I'm not so sure because you live there :P joking. No but seriously, how is crime rate and property value? Hm... maybe cia.gov has some answers I'm looking for...
The basis of making decisions on "majority rules" only is not always the best way to make decisions, but hey that's the way this system is designed. Luckily for us, we have courts which can make decisions not based on majority rules.
It becomes difficult for certain people to have any say or be at any advantages becaus they may sit on more than 1 minority axis. How about a lesbian african-ameican woman? She has 3 areas where she's a minority in power. Then there's an asian man who is bhuddist and communist. He would have much less of a say in things than the majority. In a sense it portrays to the minority in question the idea that "you're not like everyone else, therefore you are less important."

Lol I said I was already afraid of the "Sweet Child O' Mine" solo. I'm not saying Rhodes, and Morello aren't difficult, they are. What I'm saying though it would be wicked-as-hell if the game had an ultra-difficult shredder level(s) featuring Dream Theatre or DragonForce.
Final Fantasy VII had Ruby and Emerald Weapon, VIII had Omega and 9 had Ozma and Hades. Also other videogames feature a bonus boss or two which you don't have to defeat in order to beat the game, but are still there in case you want to be defeated. I think Guitar Hero should do such a thing with a bonus set of 5 songs or so which are mega-difficult bonus songs for those who think they have unrivaled prowess.
Even DanceDanceRevolution has MAX300 at a constant 300bpm and the Legend of Max with fluctuating beats-per-minute sometimes going into orbits of 400. :P
God damnit FOX and CNN SHUT UP!

That goes for anything people don't understand. Rather than try to find an understanding behind the way it works (as with Mormons) they would rather just say "IT'S EVIL, THEY HAVE MULTIPLE PARTNERS, THEY ARE HERETICS, etc..." I think it's easier for those kinds of people to just do that (point fingers and make accusations) rather than actually doing some research and ask people who actually know and are involved. The ability of people to readily jump the gun when they don't understand something, is a real and large issue. It is in part for this reason some people refuse to give gays rights, refuse to strike compromises and refuse to understand other political ideologies.
Of course, there are also people who understand some things but still don't agree. At least they are infored enough to make a decision rather than to jump from introduction to conclusion.

I did fairly well on easy, and I think during the first set (Joan Jett, Bad Religion. etc) I got a 5-star on every song on the first try, and either 4- or 5-star for the second set too. It took me about a million times to finally pass "Killer Queen" though, and even when I did it was crappy.
Killer Queen's an ok song. I got beat down when I reached the face-melters. Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughan is one difficult-ass song. I'm trying to nail Bark At The Moon with a perfect 100% on medium since I know I won't be able to get it on Cowboys from Hell. I've been able to get about a 98% on Bark At The Moon, but the quick consecutive triple nots which require pull-offs in the solo always get me :(
Did you see the setlist for GH2?! I'm most excited for the Matthew Sweet song... Yes!

Eh I saw how he replied to the guy and just gave him a 0 for shits and giggles. Speaking of silent films though... anyone ever see that Little Rascals episode where they're in a "haunted house" being chased around by a "ghost" which... looks exactly like a KKK member? There's this one called "young sherlocks" but I don't think that's it :/
Well, the basketeball season is starting back up. I reckon I won't be around much longer, time to hibernate back into the labour force. T'was nice to be back for a few.

Dude, he's just going to come back with "the laws of God are higher than any man's laws" and it will just become a cyclic argument of whose laws are superior. jwelch you've no place in this topic if you're going to argue pro-God and contribute nothing to a better understanding of the thinking behind Satanism. You are exactly the type of person the thread-starter was trying to get away from when he formed this thread. Either contribute something to the thoughts fueling Satanism or stick to the other threads. This is not a Christianity/God thread, it is stirctly about Satanist ideology.
The only physical example I can think of when it comes to God is the big bang. I find it difficult to comprehend how all matter can compress into a tiny singularity, explode and expand creating all things in the universe including us ALL BY ITSELF. I love science and I do believe in the big bang, but not that the bang just came about by itself. I believe God had a say in that. I'd take the Deist view shared by Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers and say: God created what is and all that follows, then left us to our own devices. He is not in constant interference with free will as others believe.
Those who believe in fate, destiny or something of the ilk are the same people who are proponents of God in constant interference with free will. What a dull life that would be, at least for me it would be... Consequently that is also the same view of Satanists: "we have our own free will", but they take it a step further and say "because of that, we are our own Gods." I just wouldn't go that far, it's not humbling and lord knows I'm in need of some humbling. :(
At 10/30/06 03:44 PM, neoptolemus wrote: I can make most of those things better...
Indeed you can and I agree with just about all your views there. The sad thing is you're one guy so it's easy for you to reach a compromise. If you had multiple personalities with moderate and extreme polarized views it would not be so easy. Sadly such is the case in congress: you have politicians of all shapes, colors, sizes and flavors and it makes it very difficult to strike a compromise. That's probably the reason why people like Barrack Obama; he is willing to compromise.
I heard of the umbilical cord stem cell development a few months ago, thank God for that. Now it should be easier to strike a compromise on that issue. Thanks for the link.
The plan to divide up the land amongst the 3 main factions in Iraq is probably as best as can be done about that situation. If we stay: more soldiers and Iraqis die due to miltary occupation of the area. If we suddenly leave without striking any compromise: the 3 factions could tirelessly war with one another for resources and land without having to abide by any set boundaries or regulations.
Now, the reglations set forth by the committee in charge will probably not be followed so closely, but at least instructions will be given on what to do to avoid conflicts. Troops should be brought back, just not all at once but rather at a gradual staggered rate. I really hope if the democrats win they won't all decide to pull every soldier out and leave the area as is. Keeping my fingers crossed >.<

Aww :'( on what difficulty are you trying to get the 5-star? I'm so rusty x.x I broke my guitar's whammy bar, tried to put it back together, it fell apart completely into several tiny plastic pieces rendering the whole whammy bar unit useless and finally chucked the whole thing into the dumpster :( Has anyone else's whammy bar broken? I've seen a couple other people who have had the same problem. I hope Harmonix or Red Octane (whoever designs the SG controller) can correct that whammy bar weakness before the release of GH2.
Just wikipedia the thing. The article isn't tainted because it's locked from public editing (at least last time I checked it was). I read about it for 3 hours or so, opening new windows all over the place and finally threw up my hands and said "I give up." I didn't give up because I didn't understand it but rather because the foundations of the beliefs are so shaky. I don't know how some people can accept that as true. I think some scientologists even refuse to accept the whole extraterrestrial concept as a part of scientology and would rather attribute it to a temporary lapse of sanity on the part of the founder... either that or he was stoned.

Next you'll either try to make a comeback by saying my writing skills are below 8th grade, say you don't have to reply at all, or not reply at all for lack of intelligence thus proving your idiocy.
Besides I merely suggested that begoner try to engage in a more active and critical appraisal of the points being presented, rather than simply responding with a canned aphorisms ripped from socialist dogma.
Yes and you merely told him to leave the forum because the opinions he shares with others are not important to you, way to be tolerant.

It's not my fault you don't know how to read, don't take your frustrations out on me. If you can't stand it, do a favor and leave the forum as you tell the people you don't agree with.
