True. Not everyone can learn at the same pace. I am in fact a very very very very slow learner in math. (I still don't know my Times Tables.) Every other subject I'm way way way above average in. As for how do I get interested in farmers 500 years ago in Africa? I just do. LOL! Guess I'm a Nerd huh?

Heres a few tiny little tips that will help you very easily. If you can read you can pass the test. This tip doesn't work on Math. Ergh. When you have any kind of subjects such as English, Reading, etc. They usually have a paragraph to read before the question is asked. If you look back in the paragraph, the answer is usually there.

Also, in English or Writing, you have to practice to get the sentance structure "book perfect." The best way to do this is use "Microsoft Works Word Processor" to type things up, and allow it to show you what you spelled wrong. It will also point out sentance structure fragments and other mistakes. Soon, you'll end up in the habit of never making a writing mistake. Unless of course, you're doing it on purpose.

Most of all just try to have fun with the subjects. No matter what they are, they can't all be boring.

To tell you the truth, learning about the Africans 500 years ago farming by rivers, is actually interesting to me. Someone commented in here that they wished they could go to the library and study on their own without a time limit. I was allowed to. (I finished all the work for the whole day. Plus, extra credit.) Can't tell you how much time I spent in the Library reading all the interesting Horror Novels, Sci-Fi Books, History, etc. I'm just saying, if you waste the whole day hating the fact you're there, you'll continue to hate it. Do the work, have fun with it. Once it's out of your way you can earn privileges and do what you want. I'll be honest. I did drop out of high school. Not because the work was hard. Nor did I hate the teachers. I dropped out because people in school who didn't want to be there picked on me. I was a target because I worked my ass off to get good grades. (My grades dropped because I couldn't concentrate after all that.) I dropped out because I couldn't stand another day of being picked on and called horrific names. I felt horrible for quiting. I went and got my GED then went to the Military. That didn't last I'm too kind hearted for the military. (OK! So I'm a pussy...) After that I went to college to study Fine Arts. I plan on going back and finishing up soon. Now, I see those loosers whp picked on me in school. Thier lives are shit now. They wasted their time making me and themselves miserable in school. Now, they're HS Dropouts with shitty jobs and I'm sitting here getting paid to sit on my ass every day. ^_^ I love it! Well... I talk too much! Teehee!

The reason they teach a variety of different subjects (Even the lovely shit you hate,) is because at that age you'll never really be sure what you're interested in doing. Learning different Chemical compounds can be good. If you one day decide you're gonna go into a field that requires the knowledge. To tell you the truth you guys are into Animation. You want to come up with some good story lines, History itself can help you make something some of the people haven't done yet on NG. Most of their stuff consists of killing Britney or Emminem. I Dare you to study up on a historical event from back in the ages somewhere, and do a Flash version. Could be a twisted, "what if it went this way?" kinda thing.
"Where would we be now?" You can twist it any way you want. Make Cleopatra the slut she was rumored to be if you want to. Oh, and the reason you forget everything and fluck the tests, is because you need to relax and not try to think on it so hard. when you strain and get tense your mind locks. Just relax and flow with it. It's only a test and it isn't that bad. You can always make up for any failed test anyway. Ask yourself this question, "Will this matter next week when I'm hanging with my buddies? Will I even remember this shitty little test?" The answer will be no and most likely not. Heh. Calm down. A test will not kill you.

I don't know what all the fuss is about you guys. I really miss school. I liked some of my teachers. (Not all but some.) Like my Art Teacher. You guys need to learn how to make things work for you. School is one of them. Besides... if you never went to school half you guys couldn't read at all and I don't think you'd be using a computer at this time because of that tiny little problem. Thank school ... it does help. For me School was great. I got half the teaching staff in my pocket. The ones who were assholes to me I didn't give the time of day too. If you want a Preloader, go to the NG Flash page and DL their Tutorial with a FLA of a Preloader. Newgrounds Flash. I just had my boyfriend make one and send it to me, and then I looked at it to see how it was made. Once I figured it out it wasn't so hard.

LOL! Don't give up. Look, forget asking these guys for help naming a character. I'm the Master at it. Or should I say Mistress? Girls are better at naming babies, why not characters? OK. Go to some of those Baby Naming Websites. (Don't fuss and think you'll be cursed by doing it lol!) Surf through the names by the fist letter in the name. Say you have an idea you want his hand to start with a K. Surf through the K's. You might see a name in the list that looks cool. Always check the meaning of that name too so the name actually fits your character. You'll be surprised how often this works for me. I write, and coming up with names for all the characters in my novels get's hard. This is how I've named the majority of my characters.

You don't need a credit card to download the Free Trial. then you can just look up a Registration crack for it. If you really wanna by pass all that however, go to your local Tech or Community College and get in with the Programmers in training. I did. That's how I've gotten most of my software. They give me Burned CDs of the different programs. I've gotten Paint Shop Pro 7, Adobe Photoshop 7, PhotoSuite 4, and much more this way. For some reason they can get access to these things from school. I can never figure out how they do it but they do. LOL! now, once you actually get ahold of Flash 5 or Flash MX, Instant Message someone who has Flash 5 or MX. The best way to do it is have someone step by step instruct you through it while you poke at what they tell you too. Go to Actions, Hit Browser/Network, hit GetURL, type in the URL. There you go it's a link. See? It's not hard to instruct someone who wants to learn, some of the peeps just don't like idea of taking the time to teach someone. I'll help you by teaching you what little I know in this manner. At least it's a start. You're not asking to make games and stuff yet. I can help you with the basics.

If I were you I wouldn't consider learning scripting. If your art is consistent then you should ask someone on flashkit forums instead of here. Most people on here just pretend they know stuff anyway.

I said I could grasp the basics of Action Scripting in a short while. Didn't say I was going to make the whole game in such a short time. Only a retard and a newb would do that. Duh. Oh... and that navigation menu at the index page of your site, the animation of that menu is rather crappy ... but The art's very good! I say you should work on it to make that animation smoother...

Teehee. Thanks! I'll check into that. I got Flash MX about a month or two ago but never messed with it until now. I poked at the scripts and figured out enough to make a Sitemap with buttons and all that good stuff in just a few hours. Even have a Loading Screen. It's not hard for me to learn things and I may sound like I'm bragging (I am.) But, if I can actually see the codes it'll only take a few days to grip the basics. I learned advanced HTML (Tables, Frames, ETC.) In just a few hours. It's not that hard once you actually look at the codes and what does what. I'll check out some of the Flash Tutorials out there and I'll have some stuff ready for Newgrounds in a few weeks. (If I feel like sitting at the computer at the time.) Hello everybody! OK, my name's Chrissy. I'm looking to make a Flash game. Don't worry ... I'll be specific. I want it to be a Fighting Game. I want to have several selectable characters with different moves for each one and so on. Different levels of play, etc. I can do all the Art and Graphics myself. No problem there. But, I an a little new to action scripting. I don't wanna go out and pay $30 or more for a damn book either. Can't afford it! Whaa! LOL. I want to know if anyone can help me find some FLA. Files I can use to poke at so I can figure out what I need to know. I use Flash MX and I'm not sure if some of the action scripting will be that different between MX and 5. I've got somewhat of a grip on the action scripting now. I will be extremely gratful for any help.
