Alien Hominid Is Really great! I think the Graphics are uber cute. ^_^ Blaklyon and I got it when it came out. It was supposed to be at the local game store the 16th and we had it reserved for The GC, only their shipment was late! So, we had to wait for it. Checked in the store every day until it Finally got there on the 20th! Good thing we only live down the street from the shop. LOL!

Anyway Tom the game is great! We got it only out of curiosity and honestly didn't expect great things from it. We're really amazed! Any chance you'll be doing some other games? I'd love to play them if they all turn out as well. The cartoonish graphics work for it!

I knew about the Whistle club but thought it was only into blowing the whistle not sweeping through abusive reviews. There was another club that targeted reviews along but it seems to have died. If you're watching a movie or reading through the reviews, look at the profile of someone who has written an abusive review. Most likely the rest of their reviews match the first abusive one. Post the URL to their profile here so we can share the free Whistle points for their stupidity.

If you're voting on a users reviews that are abusive, once you hit the "Abusive" link, It will pull you to the Review page of the submission the user wrote that review for. Hit backspace on your keyboard to go back to that users review page to keep getting all their abusive reviews. Yeah, it's a pain, but it works.

If a friend of yours is listed here because of some abusive reviews, don't get upset and say "I like that person!" Or vote all their obviously abusive reviews as helpful just to save them. I vote abusive on my boyfriends abusive reviews. I myself probably have one or two abusive reviews from my early NG days. If you want to read through my reviews and vote on my abusive ones, then do so. I'd be happier without them.

There's a Gold Mine of abusive reviews on some of the popular series on Newgrounds. MarioTheMonkey's "Pleasure Cruise" series and IllWillPress's "Neurotically Yours" Series. Just because you don't like that particular series, doesn't mean you can write hateful and abusive reviews. Other people obviously like the series for a reason. If you don't, then don't even watch it.

For a definition of which reviews are abusive and which ones aren't, go to the topic started by Newgrundling. NG BBS - Whistle Points & Level FAQs.

Juse because a review gives a low score, doesn't mean it's abusive. The content of the review itself will determine that.

WOW! I came to Newgrounds and saw the new layout and was momentarily stunned as I thought I had accidentally gone to a different website. It looks great. I cannot wait to see the rest of the site with this setup.

He said on the submission page you'll check next to said buddy who you want to show as a co-author. They won't show up as a co-author on every flash you submit, just the ones you choose.

I see people keep asking about if you get spammed by a user wanting to add you to their list. There is a block feature I saw it when I logged in. Tom will probably have to use it alot. LOL.

Thanks for pointing out the Rules Tanner. What would be best is to have the first page anyone sees when they hit "Forums" would be a list of rules. Then an "Enter Forums" link at the bottem of the rules. This way there's no way anyone can miss them. ^_^ And, then no one can say "I didn't know"

I'm a Christian. However, my views are totally different from that of any normal Christian. I would be burned at the stake if these were those kind of days. In fact my views are so different, not many people would understand it, not just the majority of the Christian population. LOL!

Anyway. Most people who are Atheist usually think that all Christians are bad and that they all push their views on others. Basically bashing a Christian for being a Christian and thinking they are all bible thumping, concert protesting, close minded people.

Which makes those people just as close minded. I kind of get annoyed at the Christians who do act that way, because they're giving people like me a bad name. Sometimes, I feel ashamed calling myself a Christian because the term now doesn't mean what it should. People hear "Christian" and think that they're going to hear some lecture on God or Moral.

However, I get annoyed with anyone else who is close minded and set in their own ways. I'm always open for discussion. Others should be too.

This has most likely been talked about before. Not in any threads I've seen. Has anyone seen the Flash movies that aren't movies? Only they're a Flash with a MP3 music file in it? Why do people do that? If they wish to upload the music somewhere they have Kazaa and WinMX. Why do they put this junk on the portal? It's takin up space.

What gets me, is people save it! Why? You're eating up the websites space and bandwidth! Blam it. Sheesh. Anyone agree that this is annoying? I feel like going on a quick quest to find all of them on the portal and send the links to Tom or Wade so they can remove them. However, there are probably a bunch of them.

I didn't mean if it sucked. I mean if the author didn't want it on NG anymore. They should have the option to remove their own work. Read before posting. Like say I did a bunch of flashes I liked. Then I decided I didn't want to keep one for one of a hundred different reasons. Maybe If I collaberated with another artist but We have a fight and don't wanna do anymore work together. So then I'd wanna remove the movie(s) that artist did with me. I should have a right to remove my own work if I want to.

Tom made a post about this Jan, 13th, 2002. I haven't heard anything about the progress of it, and was wondering if they had given up entirely.

I really liked Tom's Idea and how it would be set up. As in the Team Leader who submits the flash, and them listing the other contributors. I think 5 would be a good max number for authors.

Having the other authors validate before the flash hit the portal sounded like the best option to me out of validations. Who likes this idea and really wants to see Tom go through with it? It's been over a year since he posted that now, and I really wanna know if this is gonna happen. I'm working on a flash series now with a few other people. I hope this goes into effect before we're finished.

I agree. That's why I wanted to start this thread. I know it's probably been talked about before. However it is a real problem and people do cover up their flash work like that. NippleClock as an example has taken two of his flash movies and have the Ahem "Consumed" By the "Void".

Here and Here are his two examples of removing your own work because you don't have the option on the Gounds Gold menu. I really think it would be a good idea after seeing stuff like this.

This is something I've thought about a few times, and a few of my fellow NG users have brought the idea to my attention. If you made a flash movie, and then didn't like it later on, don't you wish you could just remove it? I know a few artists on NG now who wish they could remove some of their own stuff. As an artist I think that would be a very helpful option.

Of course you'd have to weigh the whole idea before you removed something. Don't just get an idea to start over then regret loosing all the reviews and score you had. It would probably effect your batting average if you had one.

However, most people probably made some crappy Flash animations they wish they could remove now that they have more skills. It would also help the Newgrounds Bandwidth problems if everyone could remove some stuff they wanted blammed in the first place. Who agrees that this would be a good option to have on the Grounds Gold menu?

It's not doing it's job because they just blam stuff without looking at it. Good or bad. (they click "watch", then close it and vote) so the movie gets blammed if someone lists it on the blam club page. But, if the blammers actively watched each submission they could, and voted fairly, the crap would be gone and the good stuff would stay. Too bad certian people aren't allowed to go around and clean out the crap. That would be cool.
