I guess. Either way, an effort has to be made, whether right from the start, or partway through your career. I think AS2 is more suggested because since things can get done easier (even if bad habits are instilled), the guy will most likely feel better about himself and become more motivated to continue programming, unlike if he chose a harder, yet potentially more rewarding path right from the start, he may be more likely to say fuck this and give up. But really, what do I know, I'm still a kid.
