I know a lot of these cats. They do amazing chiptunes. Surely you could find someone there. Good luck!
Don't increase overall volume until the mastering process. Per each instrument, just adjust it's own (internal) volume with moderation (considering the mix). ... at least, that's what I've been told.
Sounds like live recording, unless I'm hearing something different than you guys.
The arrangements don't sound bad... heck his compositions are a lot better than mine...
Anyway, I'd like to learn, but I'd have to hear something completely electronic first... as I don't have a studio full of people with instruments...heh
3 new songs made later last year to early this year...

More envelopes than a freaking post office.
My latest was zero bombed (then others voted it back up a bit). I'd like honest feedback if possible-
Pacify
Thanks! :)
Ultimately it's all about what gets you from point A to point B...
Like many have said, it's all about which DAW fits you.
However, to answer your question "What do you think of Ableton?"
Well, you might say it's ABLE to do a TON of shit. haw haw.

Write something original.
...man I wish I was wrong here. :(
If you learn synth, you can adjust your ASDR to make a synthetic 'hit' (kick/snare/etc) that could possibly outdo even vengeance.
...well, once you tack on some verb - room effects, that is.
I'm learning Mastering... not super at it, but I'll give it a go if you want....
Best of luck sir, these are the first that come to mind for me-
1. You're always your own worst critic.
2. Weigh your feedback realistically, steering to appeal.
3. Give love, receive love. Elitism alienates you.
4. Never insult/discourage others no matter how good you get.
5. Video tutorials are awesome, but don't forget to research good reads as well.
6. Make friends! I can't tell you how much I've learned just talking to people.
7. Sidechain compression is huge. Learn it, love it.
8. If you're mastering your own work, mix first, then master. Saves time.
9. Don't try to sound like anyone else. The next Skrillex won't sound like Skrillex.
10. Finally regarding #9, Play for fun, not for fame. Fame is ultra-rare, enjoying music has it's own rewards. If you DO get famous, cheers! ... and let me come on your yacht! :D
Kinda reminds me of Cloudkillers Which I've been enjoying the heck out of when I can. You make useful/constructive/praising comments and get useful/constructive/praising comments (well, that's the intention anyway). Naturally you get more plays/followers as a result. I've gotten well over 150 followers, thousands of plays, etc since I joined...
Some people frown upon this kind of activity, but I think it promotes growth of knowledge and community.

Hardstyle remix would be boss.
If just panning isn't enough, you could always try mid/side or 'stereoization'. Leaving your kick/bass (and some freq of snare) in the middle, but moving the brighter percussion/effects out to the sides.

Maybe it's just me, but a lot of the vsts (especially the free ones) are limited to 32bit and don't show up in my 64 bit version of Suite 9...
I was hoping to make some friends, OKAY!?
IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!?

I forget. Wish I could just change it.
Get my name tattooed on at least 1,000 hookers, and you have yourself a deal.
Shut up and make music.
...and f$*# you, that's why.

Seems like a green light for commercial use.
This. Which basically sounds like once you've bought it, you've got it, unlike the rest. As far as Newgrounds policy, it would seem a little unfair to crack down on people using 1 shots & drum loops split up into a completely different arrangement, but it does make me wonder where the line is drawn.
I, like many, use the drums (not the loops/sweeps/etc) and do wonder where the line is drawn. If ANYTHING from the packs is considered duplo, ... then I want to know for sure. I can switch out kits for the version I post on Newgrounds... granted it wouldn't always sound entirely genuine and 'belonging' to the mix.

2. Only use the standard FL kick, snare, hihat & clap
3. Use FL Slayer. A lot.
4. Same goes for Sytrus!
5. Presets only
6. Let every single track peak a lot so the limiter has something to do.
7. Apply Maximus to the final mix. 5 Times.
Lol'd hard... cause I know people who've done this. You're officially my favorite poster right now.

You forgot processor. Probably a quad core or better.
Then if you do ANY sampling whatsoever, it'd be a good idea to get an external HD.
500gb - 2TB easy. Depending on how much of a hoarder you are. lol
Played piano for like a year, but never actually LEARNED it. Started producing 7 months (or so) ago. Decided to pick up piano again as well, this time learning theory and all the essentials.
