Goto Edit>Preferences>File Formats

Under MP3 Library Version it should say "LAME 2.97"

If it says "LAME 2.96" You have an old LAME and need to get 2.97, otherwise you'll only be able to export mp3s at the lowest bitrates.

hope this helps.

Am I missing something here? Why is this trophy system thing for the ps3 the biggest thing to happen since the clubbed baby seal? Maybe it's only a minority of owners who care about it but it seems like trophies are getting more hyped than the games themselves. And now people are saying they're going to not buy games like Resistence 2 because they've said they're not giving trophies? wtf. Could someone explain to me why the XMB isn't the only major change in the psn for 2.4

I guess this might not apply so much to me since I basically play my ps3... to play the game... not really compete.

Hottest Jeopardy! Contestant Ever Posted July 2nd, 2008 in General

If you're like me, you enjoy watching Jeopardy for the all-out joygasm ride that is involved in competing with friends, family, and pets in the greatest game of out-trivializing ever. But when an absolute fox steps into the ring for 3 days? WHOA! LOOK OUT!

I mean seriously, her name is Dorothy Farrell, a nanoparticle researcher from Brooklyn, and 3-time Jeopardy Winner. I mean look at her, holy melon muncher, look at the size of those tambourines...

Jeopardy isn't in the business of showcasing a woman's best features (granted they've never had a reason to) so I had to find a screen shot and extrapolate the experience for you guys. My god, who wouldn't want to be the nanotechnie leaning on her back as they manually configure Cell Microprocessors? am I right!?

Response to: I've done it! (yuyu theme) Posted June 26th, 2008 in General

I should've mentioned my method. I used Sothink Flash Decompiler to decompile The Yuyu, and so I was left with the .mp3. This is worth mentioning because it takes the .mp3 at "recorded value" meaning not the way the author imported it into the flash, but the way it was outputted from the flash. But because Adam relies so much on delivering high quality sound, the .mp3 is still very good quality, and I'm sure the only people in the world who have a better quality version of the .mp3 than me is Adam Phillips and Spider Stacy themselves and probably the members of the Pogues.

But that's not what you were waiting for, was it? No....

TAKE IT!!!

Response to: Metal Gear Solid 4 Thread Posted June 23rd, 2008 in Video Games

I have never played an mgs game before mgs4 and now I never will because I know nothing will give me the experience that i've had with GOTP as this. Im in huge debate as to which game I've liked better. GTA4 or MGS4, two amazing games in terms of ground-breaking feeling. You can't say no to the density of GTA but then again how can you with the grand scale of MGS. The graphics, the dialogue, the cinematography (now DER's sum sideboob!)

Just the greatest. It's one thing to be indecisive about a ps3 game, it's a whole other story in deciding between to games. 2008, ps3 is going to drop some bombs let me tell you.

*whips out two business cards*

I'm not sure if either of these methods are free or not.... And Adam actually uses his software program to convert it to .png then places all of them in order in After Effects and then exports it with the sound resynced to great effect (simpler than it sounds) but the program also converts fully to .avi though if I had After Effects I would definitely use that method. But anyway

I'm having a few issues right now with this potential case of animator's block brought on by my junior high school year. After the complete b*tch that was second semester, I decided I really needed to apply myself to developing flashes if it's going to be of any use to me in the future. Trouble is, is that I'm having a rally hard time applying myself with a good time commitment to really anything?

Anyone else going through/have had such a animator's block, cuz I would really appreciate any ways that my get my flash adrenaline going again. thanks

Response to: Please Tell Me How My Animations R! Posted May 28th, 2008 in Game Development

Seeing as that was pretty much how I was when I first began, it's not a big deal that its not up to minimum standards, you can't just expect to make a good animation without hours of practice. Animation takes above everything else patience and a willingness to explore the magic that happens in between expression. More simply, what you have there are the main frames, you're trying to convey something in each frame. Better animation means that 95-99% of the frames are dedicated to transitioning to the points you have already put down. Once you get more familiar with that kind of mindset and find that kind of patience, you'll see dramatic improvements.

Why wouldn't it belong in this forum?
True, I don't see this guy having to program anything to get what we wants done. He would not have to recode AIM or anything. Plus emoicons are freely distributed for IM services. All he would have to do is insert his custom one into the text box provided. Unless he was creating a program that does this for him, the thread does not belong.

Or you guys could stop acting as though I know I wouldn't have code anything. I posted this here to see if this would require some sort of coding and if it did maybe someone would be able to lead me somewhere that could help me do this. If this fits in the "such an easy programming thing that it's like video embedding" just say so. As far as my experience goes on AIM I have never seen an AIM avatar that changes to various uploaded pictures because of the text that is written. Sry for any misunderstandings.

Custom Aim Expressions Posted May 13th, 2008 in Programming

Alright so I'm trying to get a big laugh out of all my buddies by having a completely customized set of expressions made up of pictures with my using exaggerated expressions like how they use superbuddy icons for AIM. I'm not trying to animate a character to say "thanks" when I type thx, I wna the action to be

ME: Hey
*picture of me with hand raised*
ME: What's up?
*picture of me shrugging my shroulders*
Friend: dude... wtf is wit you icon?
ME: haha what are you talking about
*pic of me laughing*
Friend: that's actually kinda cool
ME: hey thx
*pic of me with thumbs up*
Friend: k now this is getting annoying
ME: haha
*laughing pic*
Friend: okay that's enough
ME: k
*pic of me with agreeable face*
Friend: k stfu already its stupid its a bad idea
ME: haha
*laughing pic*
Friend: k wtf I'm blocking you
ME: NO!
*pic of outraged me*
Friend: later
End Convo

So what do you guys think, have any of you tried this before. It seems simple enough but I feel like I would be trampling on something AIM doesn't want me messing with. Can I do it?

Um.... despite not believing in a higher being than my own mind, religion has contributed valuably to ethics, is in fact the cause for many of the progressive movements we see today, and diversifies cultures that, when met, may find something in common while learning about each others differences..... ??? Therefore religion should be respected even if not believed?

I sometimes need to slap my fellow non-believers in the face for being stupid. If they can't think properly and come to a non-arrogant conclusion about life, they don't deserve to be their own god.

Weed Will Destroy Us All!!! Posted April 14th, 2008 in General

It's time that we all get our heads out of our asses and realize that the downfall of the planet will coincide with the rise of universal pot smoking. Everyone here has the responsibility to not only NOT consume the substance but also to report anyone seen in possession of, distributing, or selling illegal cannabis!

But it seems so many people today like putting up those weak pro weed arguments that I'm forced to put up some propaganda of my own, though it should be common sense.

Here is what happened to one man when he did a little mary jane for recreation.
