A lot of people keep mentioning this, but they are going by the NewGrounds timestamp. It is certainly still that previous date in many other parts in the world. It seems to be tradition with AG contests that you can turn it in as long as it is still the date SOMEwhere in the world. :)

If you didn't win it you woulnd't have won it if they waited any longer. 1 Vote takes 1 second, not a number of hours.

I'm not sure what you mean. What I'm saying is that often, a game or movie comes out, and with the first few votes it doesn't have a very great score. But then after a full day of being seen, the score goes up. So this time, the game came out, was only seen a few times, then NG went down and when it came back awards were given instantly. So it never got much of a chance to be seen and voted on.

Oh well.

Hey what the heck?!? This is unfair, the awards shouldn't have been given until TONIGHT at midnight. Newgrounds has been down for a day and a half, so if everything paused right where it was, that would've left the rest of today for voting, t hen the awards given tonight. (and even then we would've been ripped off of a half a day of voting.

I submitted my game, it was barely seen by anyone, then the site when down. Now, all of a sudden the site goes back up and awards are given immediately.

Not cool.

What the...! Cool, thanks to whoever voted. (And thanks to whoever has a submission that will surely get a much better score but for some reason decided not to submit today!)

You're totally right, and I was worried about that as well. If you look at the time I submitted, it's 01:10AM EST which means I only missed the deadline by an hour. I had asked Tom about the deadline a couple of hours before midnight and he said that they were going to accept any entry that came in before Christmas so not to worry about it. :)

(Though I completely agree that the rules should be clear and that the actual deadlines should be clearly posted for it to be totally fair)

Holy crap! Thank you very much! And thank you everyone who voted on the movie, I am so happy that you guys liked it! I started making it for Christmas 2005 but got too busy and was pretty bummed when it was abandoned. When an entire year went by I decided to bring it new life, and I'm so glad I was able to!

I was kind of dissapointed really. Your art is usually superior. And the animation wasn't up to par either.
You can definitely do a ton better.

Hmm, I'm surprised to hear that... This is actually the most elaborate animation I have ever done, by a long shot, seriously. Take a look at my other submissions, its just a few stiff poses here and there. So this time I ramped it up and the bodies have fully animated parts, not just a few still drawings. And the art itself is a thousand times cleaner and smoother than any I've ever done on NG! Heh, heh, I really think it's just the subject matter that makes this movie seem "not so good" since I copied a terrible, terrible video in the first place.

Oh well! :)

Haha, you're right! It actually was an ear tug, it's hard to tell in that pic though.

I vote for adding the dynamic "ghetto" music track in during the basketbal scene! Unless you already did... I guess I should go play it first before I make suggestions.

Umm, as a matter of fact, you'll notice that several letters in his words are in BOLD. Put them together and you get "online multiplayer".
