I have heard that I may need to "re-flash" my phone in order to use it on a different network which requires a code, the name of which I am not sure. There is also a risk of bricking my phone and while it was cheap for me to obtain, would be a shame to waste.

There is no need to be rude. What is it you think removing the SIM card will accomplish? Besides, if you read the OP, this is an evo shift, which I just discovered for myself, has no sim card, as it uses CDMA not GSM. If you stomp around with that attitude in reality, expect a lot of disappointment from life.

I don't know if any of you will re-visit this thread but I just want to say, I really appreciate all the help from you guys. Thank you. I have some good leads I need to research now. I am looking into Android functions still available without coverage. ie: what can I do with wifi on my provider-less phone? I am moving towards an app maybe? I do not think removing the SIM card is the answer. That makes me nervous. The community here is great. Even the dude who was just like, "Get a plaaaaan" I thought the comedic relief was refreshing. Also big thanks to the guy who called him out though. Just feels good to know someone is keeping these damn kids in line.

Excessive Roaming? What? Sounds like there's bullshit in there somewhere, especially if they're waiving early cancel fees.

Yeah! I was all paid up too! I never missed a due date on a single bill. I talked to a friend who is a Sprint rep and all she said was "yep. they do that sometimes." lol They sent me a letter in September saying I was roaming excessively but I was under the impression they meant data, so I turned on my wifi and let that shit guzzle my battery non-stop. Nope. They meant voice but I NEVER TALK on my phone during the day. ARG.

I have a HTC EVO Shift and right now it's covered through Sprint, but they are going to cancel my contract and stop my coverage. It's an Android phone and I was just wondering a few things. What can I do with this thing once it's no longer covered? Can I still use the app market if I am within a wifi signal? What will a wifi signal allow me to do? I think that's about it. I Googled', Yahood', and generally searched as much as I can stand to really and was hoping my fellow Newgroundsians would be able to provide me some relief here. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your time.

Wanted Posted September 21st, 2010 in Video Games

I want a game with Zelda A Link to the Past graphics (2d top down) but insane depth and content. I want actual real time action. I want a dark story, even gritty. I want guns, swords, and spells. I want huge skill/ tech trees with many large branches. I want zombies in one way, shape, or form or another. I want a decent community rewarded for team play and common respect. I want cross genre elements like defense, puzzle, gambling, RPG, action adventure, shooter. I want it free. I want it now. I want a burrito and some ice cream(aside from the game, just a note in case anyone has a burrito or some ice cream for me.)

What do you want in a game?

Response to: Drinking mountain dew; is it weird? Posted September 16th, 2010 in General

OP is stoned out his gourde. Is Mountain Dew a weird substance? Compared to what? Water? Of course you wouldn't drink a green liquid out in nature. The chances of a random puddle of green liquid being Mountain Dew are pretty slim. The chances of a plastic bottle clearly labeled "Mountain Dew" containing Mountain Dew are pretty good. How can we possibly speculate what would look normal to an alien when we have no clear picture of an ET or the place they are from?

How is this typically American? Typical ignorance. There is insane BS like this happening all over the world. I'd like to think the people who understand why this whole incident is so wrong are world wide, even in America. There are too many posts like this on the web. You do understand that EVERY country practices propaganda right?

True. I stopped playing after losing almost $100k from dying for the second time. I always forget to bank after shopping...Good game though.

I just realized most of these games are free....the dude just said mmorpg not free mmorpg.

I have been warned against Runescape HEAVILY. I have been playing Maplestory though. It's like...I know it's crap...but I still keep coming back for more...Another good free online game is League of Legends. The game is good, the community sucks. Good god. A bunch of whiney prepubescent nerds all hopped up on caffeine and grumpy from staying up too late. ugh

You know what I hate? People who hate other people for pathetic reasons like that. Do you hate gays and jews too? Jesus Christmas son. I have smoked weed and drank and stuff like that and it wasn't for me but to say you HATE PEOPLE who do that stuff? That's just friggin ignorant...

Are you a female? I heard (I think it was on The Doctors...) that women are prone to that reaction. I myself have never done that. I have accidentally belched really loud while talking on XBL. No one said anything though so....

Do you have the Boondocks friended on Facebook? They had this posted yesterday I think...Actually, since this video, I have been paying much more attention to the "Boodocksbootlegs" videos. What was that one with the crazy old lady all freaked out about "country law!" or as she put it, "Connie lah!" Dude, that chick was trippin...also, "Dane Cook" posts some great stuff on Facebook. "Autotune the News-Obama's gunna kick some ass" gave me shivers, in a good way lolz

I usually go for the strong (yet legal) stuff. I like the instant cappuccino. That way you can put several servings into one. Video games. DO NOT DRAW OR PLAY GUITAR OR ANY OF THAT SHIT. Jesus, have you people ever pulled an allnighter? I also like to listen to some energetic tunes and go for a night walk. Find other friends that can handle missing their bed time. Watch a horror movie. A good creeper. Not the slasher garbage. Uh...that's all I got off the top of my head.

"Wasn't me!"
type shit either. It's more like ,
"Heard from your ex who's getting out of prison soon?"
"no."
"then why the fuck do you have a recent rough draft note to him in this note book?!"
"Okay, I have been writing him..."
"Why?"
"I don't know why you are being so mean..."
"WTF?!"

I would say that the majority of them do though. Women crave attention as much as anything.

Dude, I am sorry but FAIL. "Women crave attention as much as anything." is a stereotype. Of course women lie, they are human. Men lie too but I am a guy, I strive to tell the truth as much as possible and HATE having to lie. I would rather get my ass chewed than get caught in a lie. Women, it seems, just lie for the fuck of it. Like an itch they get every once in a while that they have no problem scratching.

Like, "I usually try to lie 3 times before lunch and 3 times before dinner."

On a separate note: My GF is watching TV right next to me. lol

She would probably just learn to lie better. Anyways, in most cases words can hurt 100 times more than fists. I have felt both extensively and I would rather take a royal ass whupping than have my woman lie to me.

Not really the situation, but if she really wants to talk about it the n she should call for it. On the other hand, if she needed to see he cares then yes he is the jackass. In either case, she is still lying though! Lying destroys trust, the foundation of relationships.

Do any women not lie constantly? Posted July 30th, 2010 in General

If you say yes, you just haven't figured it out yet. If you say no, then you have already been lied to constantly or are a woman.

She lies constantly and then acts like I am a bully when I call her on it. Good stuff. We have a kid together. I really didn't want to be part of that statistic but oh well...

Everybody Edits? Posted June 19th, 2010 in Where is / How to?

In the newer Everybody Edits, how do you paint tiles? As in, how do you rapid fire tiles so you don't have to repeatedly click. I have spent 30 mins producing a magnificent tear jerker only to have some one who knows this trick, undo my work in just seconds. It wouldn't sting so bad if I knew how to rapid fire tiles too. I apologize in advance if this question is in the wrong place and I thank you in advance if you can accurately and correctly tell me how to rapid fire tiles in Everybody Edits. FYI Everybody Edits is in the "Gadgets" portal of games.

WOW. That is simply awesome. I have been doing things in the same vein for robot day and you just humbled the hell out of my ass. I know you were looking for critiques, sorry, I just love this picture. The only thing I could think of is a back ground. I would suggest sticking with the same color scheme the back drop has going. Not too much contrast. Again, LOVE the work!

It is sloppy. I wanted to get rid of the lines to make it more photo-realistic, clearly too lofty a goal for me. I settled for blackening out the background. Often times, very obvious solutions to nagging problems elude me for days at a time. In this case, I went a head and "finished it".

free paint program showdown Posted June 4th, 2010 in Art

Sorry in advance if I may be breaking any rules here, but honestly, I don't think I am. That said, I have been using Sumopaint, a free online paint program to make my digital works. I have been hearing that it is a relatively"juvenile" program and want to upgrade but have very limited funds, so it needs to be free. I have been referred to GIMP, but it is a photo enhancement tool primarily. I am looking for an original works tool. I have also heard of Paint.Net. Sounds good but I have heard no decent reviews or comparisons to Sumo. Am I missing any good ones? Is Paint.Net better? I can make Sumo work pretty good for me so far, but am ready to LVL up, so to speak, to a tool with more options. Thank you in advance. This was done in Sumo.
