So you've probably read JohnnyUtahs' announcement about a Newgrounds podcast (scroll down past all that Metal Gear crap). If you don't feel like clicking and/or scrolling, I'll just explain it here: Dekuboy, camobch0, and zero-gravity have teamed up and created a weekly podcast centered around the happenings of Newgrounds. They review the flash weekly Top 5 and talk about the audio weekly Top 5, along with going over the latest news (omg, bigbadron got de-modded!).

AND THEY NEED A THEME SONG.

This is your chance to shine. Here are the specs:

- 30 to 50 seconds long
- Genres: techno or rock, something energetic and theme-worthy
- If you're going to include a voice, it should a) be robotic-ish and b) say "Newgrounds Podcast - everything, on your iPod" or something of the sort

And that's pretty much it. I don't know about a deadline...how about it just keeps going until they find something they like?
If you win, it'll be played before all their future podcasts. No cash, sorry!

I might consider trying. Is it okay if the entry is already being published elsewhere (nonprofit)?
As in, I'll submit thirty seconds of it for use in this contest but it's from a longer track I'm planning on releasing as well. But not commercially. Or does it have to be specifically ONLY for this contest?

You need at least 4 uploads before being able to be scouted, too.

Hi, I'm a total n00b at this site, and I've recently uploaded music but a notification told me my music won't go public until I get scouted.

I have no idea how to get scouted. I get that other people need to do it for you. But I've accidentally pressed a button that said something like "scout this person" on my OWN profile. And since then I've gotten no notification that I need to get scouted.

So, my confusions:

1. I don't even KNOW if I'm scouted or not. Can someone more experienced please take a look and help me out? I would REALLY appreciate it! (Here's my profile if you need it: http://dreamforecast.newgrounds.com/)

2. Can someone scout me? So far I've only got one audio submission. You can take a look at that on my profile. Does it need to be of certain quality or something? *scratches head* This site is just so new to me. xD

Okay, thank you so much to anyone who might help or took the time to read this. I know trying to explain things to n00bz may not be the most entertaining of things to do, but if anyone could help me, I would appreciate it a lot! ^^;
