I'm almost done. I have to clean up the edges.
If you study anatomy and posing with just cartoon characters, you will improve, albeit VERY slowly. If you study real anatomy, you'll improve much quicker and you can easily apply them to cartoons. Someone else already mentioned this, but I thought it'd be good to reiterate it. You have to know the rules inside and out before you can break them. I like using Picasso as an example. He exaggerates form VERY much, and the depth and anatomy he depicts varies GREATLY from reality. Some like it, some don't. However, he didn't just start painting like that right off the bat. He is a VERY skilled painter in portraying a realistic form, and he truly understands form and how to abstract it.
Even Picasso, someone who is very famous for unrealistic and anatomically odd portraits did studies of the human form. Both these images are by Picasso.

Bonjour mes amis. I couldn't help but notice this very active thread that popped up in the art forums! HiryuGouki, I enjoy the fact that you are not afraid to apologize. That's cool. Good on ya, bud. Also, in regards to your artwork, clearly you've heard criticism from many others. I think the key point to remember is, forget HOW the advice is delivered, but instead focus on WHAT the advice has to say. While some may use expletives or insults to get their point across, look past it and take their actual advice. Because even if you feel like others are insulting you, in reality they are trying to help you. If they REALLY didn't care, then they would simply see your post and move on. But they cared enough to take time out of their lives to write something for you.
Your art is on the right track. While you have some issues, I trust that you will put into practice the advice and crit already stated. That alone would improve your work vastly. But it is by no means bad art.
:)
Nipple piercing get you all hot and bothered.

This one is amazing, the composition is soo good! Its like a piece you'd find in a gallery.
New sketch. Demon king gets it in. Wondering if I should continue to paint this.
Version with cum can be viewed on my page. Now, this is NSFW because its straight up porn and not artistic whatsoever.
No cum version can be seen in the forum.
Alrighty, here is my finished entry for ChOW 53.
I completely ditched my other WIP, and opted for something with more... tits. Still WIP.
Haha the rules of art on newgrounds are very open in regards to content. Just have a look at TheShadling's gallery and you'll see what I mean ;)

Yeah, sweet! I think its those darker colors that really make it pop.
Alright, I'm very happy with how this is going so far - hopefully I don't screw it up.
Alright, I'm doing things a little differently this time. First I did a sketch, and then I did a clean-ish line art of it. Then, I colored carefully with just gray. THEN, I glazed a skin color over it. I'm really trying to mimic that super sexy comic book digital painting style of coloring.
So far, I'm SUPER SUPER excited with the progress on this one. I'm really loving the cleaner application of color! I was starting to despise that messy sketchy look of my other work in this thread. UGH. I found this tutorial on youtube to be super helpful when it came to digital painting in photoshop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8TP3IclXKM
Ugh I'm not happy with my style at all. I'm trying to go for a more comic-book modern marvel style. Here is an artwork by Greg Horn, an illustrator for Marvel. Does anyone have any suggestions to improve my work to eventually reach this caliber?
*THIS IS NOT MY IMAGE IT IS BY ARTIST GREG HORN*
I've been slaving away at this one, and tried a new method of coloring in photoshop.
She stood there with a bewildered look and her mouth agape, "What? Why are you staring at me?"
HNNNGGG your work makes me cry manly tears of joy.
Count me in on this. I've never done any ChOW's before, so this 'll be fun. The character doesn't have to be from the re-animator movie, right?

@drawfall yeah! I think it just depends on what you like to draw. Some people draw animals tons better than humans, or backgrounds, or architecture etc etc
Oh God, that is fricken' amazing. You're line art is so clean and the coloring is so fluid. What program do you use?
I'm trying more solid outlines, I'm not too happy with the scribbly look of just the brush.

I doubled checked, and you are correct good sir!
