I animate my characters and convert them into sprites. Sprites, although they take up more space, they give the game a more "rustic" and real look. They also run faster than vectors because less memory is used.

Actually, you are only half right. Although English is heavily influenced by Latin, it is not a Latin language. The Latin, or Romance languages are Portuguese, Spanish, French, Romanian, and Italian. English is actually a derivitive of a Germanic Langauge, as is Swedish, and other Nortic languages. These developed later, and almost independently of Latin.

Greek is totally unrelated to Latin, it developed before latin and has an entirely different glyph set (character set). Russian and other Cyrillic languages are actually derived from Ancient Greek. Which is why when you look at the Russian characters and Greek characters, they appear quite similar.

I havea program from High Logic that lets me create True Type fonts. If I don't have a specifi font, sometimes I make it. =)

Actually, the idea for the Matrix is not too far off from Plato's "Allegory of the Cave", which I'm sure everyone is familiar with.

The Allegory states that humans are chained to a rock, and are merely watching shadows projected from the world behind them. It's actually a very intriging philosophy, which is mostly likely why the producers of the matrix may have picked up on it.

Yes, the older systems definately had better game play. The newer games are too easy because companies concentrate more on graphics rather than gameplay quality.

I have eczema on my wrists and elbows. It sucks ass. I used to have it all over. Needless to say I was taunted and teased about it in Elementry and Middle school where kids would often shun me because they said I was "Diseased". It didn't help my love life either. =/

The game is based as much on the old Gogo comics I made back in middle school. I'd like a few robot mini bosses, but it's not required. I'm designing a few myself, but I'm always willing to take suggestions!

Basically the bad guy in the game is the partially robot raptor King Veloci and his company Velocicorp, a robotics industry that created all the bosses in the game, Rhino Plasti, Flash Capybara, etc... His henchmen are all lizard guys, you can tell they're his henchmen because they aren't totally robotic.

Mini bosses can be his henchmen, the only given is that they must be lizards of some kind. All Veloci corp's henchmen have Veloci Corp's signature crest, somewhere on their bodies or outfits. I can add that later, don't worry about adding it. If you want to come up with mini bosses or enemies as well, feel free to.

I will take down your real names if I decide to use them as I will be adding them to the credits of the game. Don't post your real name here though.

I already have designs for all the bosses, but mini bosses are still open. =)

WOW! I actually like that last cave design. I've been meaning to do a cave for the rhino's level, but could quite put my finger on what to do!

Hello all, it's time for uncle Dom's story time once again, and this week, we are going to talk about my lack of time again.

I could spend all day outlining the reasons for why I can't seem to get anything done, but I'll make it easy for you and assure you that all my delays can be attributed to shear laziness on my part. With that in mind, I have a proposition.

If any of you have ideas for level maps for my upcoming game Gogo's World then feel free to post them in your comments or email them to Dom@mobiusfactor.com

These are side scrolling level maps. I'm looking for the following things in all levels.

1. Two open air areas and a cave.
2. Decent number of pitfalls and challenges.
3. Mark off possible locations for hidden items if you like, mini bosses.
4. If you have multiple parts to your level, please place them one on top of the other in the same image file.

I'll be making some of my own level maps, but I like what I see, I'll add yours and put your name in the credits. The maps themselves do not need to be detailed. All I need are some layout concepts like the one I will post following this update. The levels will be setup like Megaman, with a starting point and a "Boss Room".

I could probably make them easily on my own, but I don't know what the general referendum is in the NG community. Do you like more pitfalls? More Items? Or more Enemies? Do you like hidden treasures and other surprises, or do you like a level that plays fast and furious? Hopefully your submissions, if you choose to make a few, will give me an idea of what the player wants.

Anyway, I'm also writing a few articles in my spare time. I'll try to have those up soon as well. =)
