I don't know how to break this to you bro...it looks...THE SAME.
Alright, I did a bad thing. I picked up my pencil while I was drunk last night. Not the best idea, but I figure you guys may enjoy looking at the disproportionate face with virtually no shadowing that I created. I know I did...well, okay that's a stretch. I will tell you the pic is definitely better than waking up to a fat, ugly, 5 cent hooker with three teeth and terrible morning breath. Seriously, are you trying to tell me you couldn't choke down a damn tic-tac after the twelve buckets of chicken?.............I mean, not that I know from experience, ha ha...ha.
...uh...I'm dumbfounded.

Dude the third one is very intriguing to me. If you finished it, it'd probably look pretty badass. Honestly, I'd like to see it completed.

...right on. Then I concur, sir.

It's not bad. It's actually an interesting take on an iconic figure. But yeah, just keep practicing and your skills will get better.

OP: May I suggest inking your work? The darkness ink uses makes it infinitely more interesting and appealing for the eye. Now it's just un-daring soft pencil. Do not fear making your sheet of paper filthy, that's what it's made for. As said before, we do not check deviants. We welcome people to showcase their art on an actual COOL site :3
Question: What the hell is a git?
Statement: They aren't bad at all-in fact, I kind of like the style. And yeah, I'd keep posting your pics up here because someone will want to see them-but only the things you think are your best-not every little sketch you draw in class. But, keep practicing and you'll keep getting better.
Good god, man...if you want to play a joke, wait until April Fool's Day...oh wait...
This looks vaguely familiar...oh yeah: Remember me?
It's a good start of a flower...or a good quick sketch.

I like your pencil drawings, hard to understand how you failed to apply shadows digitally like you do in the pencil sketches despite using resource, with a tablet im sure you will improve digitally, i think you need to get to grips with how to use the actual software you have got to improve your work an utilize the tools handed to you efficiently
I appreciate it man. Honestly, with my work schedule and other projects, the paper drawings are all I've got time for. When I get a good couple of days off in a row, I'm just gonna sit down and learn the ins and outs of GIMP.

@MDD
Have you got a scanner? You could scan your pencil art to your PC and edit it with GIMP.
Unfortunately, no I do not. It may be my next investment after I get a new computer chair.
Okay, I haven't had a whole lotta free time lately, what with work and writing and all, but here's one I did the other day.
Day 1 buy. Most def. The first game was just so great and all the previews look awesome. Valve has yet to disappoint, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I think it's hilarious how this thread started out with some guy talking about tracing guns and turned into a ridiculously awesome banana bunch.
That...is pretty awesome, actually.
They didn't like 'em. Any other genius questions? Gonna ask us where Mozambique is? Don't bother, it's south. Or perhaps the square root of 185? I'll give you a hint: it's a number. This is the real world, Neo. Read a book.
Okay, one more hand-drawn one...and bonus points because I finally bought a drawing tablet.
Okay, here's another hand-drawn one and this one a few of you might know where I got the picture from.

I like that line-tool one you made in gimp, the style is really cool, looks pretty original.
Now with the pencil drawing, the face is good, but her boobs are too high up and squished together, and why is her nipple poking through her shirt, this is awkward.
Lol thanks man. Yeah I noticed the breasts after I posted it up here. However, I drew the pokey nipples because that's the way they were in the source picture.
So, I decided to take a break from Gimp and go back to pencil and paper like a few of you suggested and this is what transpired...and yes, I used a picture for reference. Also, I apologize for the crappy camera quality and for the college-ruled paper. I swear I'll go out and buy an actual drawing tablet when I get a chance.
I actually really like the picture and the whole style you are going for. I'd like to see more.

Also use the selection arrow to change the shape to the lines and curve them, a drawing made up of just straight lines doesn't look all too great.
Alright, I'll definitely try focusing on all of that in my next one. Thanks, man.
Okay, so I decided to try and find the straight line tool on Gimp, and this is my attempt at utilizing it. Now, I really didn't focus that much on the shading, so I know that it's not great, but I just wanted to know what you guys thought about everything else. More specifically, the lack of the shaky lines from my previous attempts.
That is Racial Stereotyping Win.
Naw, but I haven't had a chance to try that yet. I've been hooked on Jack and Ginger for the longest time.
Yeah, I'm still using the mouse. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of Gimp.
Got another one for you guys to take a look at. I kind of went for a more cartoon look and tried a little bit of different lighting/shading, but I honestly think it really didn't make too much of a difference in the style I was going for. Anyway, hope I you like it...and I didn't use the pencil this time.
Nope, I used a program called Gimp that my buddy recommended.
