For what it's worth (not a lot), I think NG has lost out by disabling animated sigs. Sure, some people (the minority, and they can just piss off for all I care) might see them as messy; personally, I think they allow each user to display a little more of their personality, particularly if they make them themselves

We don't all 'insist' on 3-day bans. I often hand out 1 and 2 day bans, for minor infringments of the BBS rules. However, I hang out mostly in Flash, and you have to see things from the POV of General mods - it's very easy to get jaded, basically sick and tired, of all the crap that happens in General. If someone who has been a member since 03 breaks the rules, then they should know better and probably deserve the 3 days.

What users think of as a 'good time' too often involves posting crappy overused images, posting two words in response to a 1000 character essay, importing shitty chan fads, or other bullshit. There are PLENTY of topics that are left to run, and many of those would probably be locked on other forums. The mod's job is to attempt to keep the posting quality up and spammy bullshit down.

If you can't cope with the way the mod team deal with the BBS, then go elsewhere.

How is it a off-topic? Topic title: ng Collabs. I don't see how anything I've said has been about anything but that. The fact is, the Flash forum needs the NGC forum to supplement it, otherwise it gets overrun by shitty collabs run by people who can't manage to get a Flash on NG using their own skills. We mods NEED somwhere to redirect people who don't meet the collab requirements (fff and ggg) - that used to be ngcollabs.com, but since that no longer exists, something needs to be sorted out.
