On this picture, the person has many shades on her, but when you translated it on paper, she lost that and is just a few lines and white space... A helpful tip is to set mid tones in order to judge light and dark. For instance, on several pictures you may see, people use brown paper, black charcoal, and white charcoal. They use the brown as a mid tone, the black as a dark, and the white as a light. Another thing you should do is look at how the light hits her. It doesn't light up all of her face, leaving it all light like you have drawn. Keep it up though, it certainly is fun to watch.

Gameplay Tuning:
Limit the ability to re-roll supply drops using Hardline Pro to Care Packages only, no other killstreak drops.

Meh, the exploit was fun enough, but kinda cheap.

Increased headshot multipliers for sniper rifles. Sniper rifles with suppressors equipped will now always be ensured one-shot kill headshots.

Finally, being that ghost sniper is really fun.

Subtle increase in sniper rifle accuracy when scoping in.

So it will take less time when you have to wait to shoot?

Additional minor reductions in knife lunge.

Awesome! :D

Pretty happy about these fixes.

Me too!

Well by full composition I didn't mean to imply you should be making huge finished pieces, but urh, working on the composition. I'm not sure how to explain it fully after saying 'where you put stuff' so here is a tutorial I quickly found (that I shall now go read myself): http://features.cgsociety.org/story_cust om.php?story_id=3275

Enjoy.

Thanks! Sorry, i when you said "full composition" the only two things I thought of were complete and painting. Thanks for the link though, really helpful and informative.

I hate clicking links xP
Two, it needs more contrast and could be cropped of all that extra white space.
It probably hurts your eyes because you have to quint to make out any sort of detail (well, at least I had to.)

I will not forget the picture this time. Is this any better? I gave it a darker background, so its easier to see, but looks more faaabulous in the process.

Practicing with hands, I used my own as a ref.
In the lower-left corner, I drew the ring I wear. (You can see a sliver of it in the lower-right drawing)
Oh and no, I was not really holding a joint (I wouldn't be holding it correctly if I really was anyways)

Probably some of the better stuff you've done recently. I really like the shading on the one with the joint or cigarette of whatever.

No dix?! But what would a unicorn collab be without at least one penicorn...

letdown.
Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted November 28th, 2010 in Art

To me, if I see an awesomely drawn piece, thats just flat out beautiful, it doesn't need purpose. If I see some abstract work, then I want to see a purpose of it, rather than random blotches of paint.
If the art is well drawn and I like it; needs no purpose.
If its abstract, then it does.

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted November 28th, 2010 in Art

generally, like jonny and others have said, good art just comes from tons of practice and trial and error.

When your doing something abstractish like this, I think its important to have a definite purpose, so far I've just seen red, literally.
Keep it up though, more art= more comments

The shading doesn't seem very comic book style... Try some cell shading; Kashi is also right; actually draw out the other character, don't copy and paste it.

Response to: JK Sketches Posted November 14th, 2010 in Art

I often think sketches have a better look than finished pieces, they look more natural and less manufactured in my opinion. Which is why I think its good to keep that unfinished look in a piece.
