I have left the clock crew several months ago but RomanCollarClock's movies were always my favorites and were on my favorites. To me they have always been very funny and he has contributed a lot to this site. A few of his movies were also in collections.

I reviewed his new movie in the same theme it was presented, as a joke so it should not be treated and it was not meant to be taken seriously. He didn't even know Clock crew was watching his movie. Neither did I because I don't go there anymore.

How do you know what's "Highly racist"? It's a matter of opinion. I've seen worse more offensive movies get the front page. Movies depicting the graphic rape of someones dead grandmother just a few months ago, in fact.

I understand that if you needed to punish people that break your rules and if you want to turn this site into politically correct grounds to cater to your fan bases lack of brains and declining sense of humor that's your prerogative but taking his account out was OVERBOARD. I think that the moderators here could use more tools and powers. It certainly couldn't hurt the already horrible situation of dealing with this community. At the very least, I think being able to sticky topics like these would be very helpful.

I'm not sure what you mean by "adressing the problem". Believe me I wish I could but just like you I'm a regular user and am speaking as I've done frequently since I've been here, about the review system because in the past it has been very poor and I believe this is a improvement and will get better and don't wish it to go back to the way it was.

If I were a review mod, someone who is actually capable, I would be doing much the same except I'd be in a better shape to defend what's going on here but that's not the case. As it is I can only try to help, becuase the people who can for some reason are remaining pretty silent about this and if they did they could only speak for how they have modded and not for anyone else. Sorry.

In terms of some of the reviews that are being deleted that shouldn't be, I don't know!

I just saw a review that said nothing but Fuck you! that I much rather that guy be punished then a humorous review that is for the most part harmless although off topic and unhelpful. I know if it was funny I'd enjoy it regardless cuase I'm not uptight like that.

I'm think many were deleted because regular users were flagging them inapropriately but I do know for sure from what I've read, they are getting penalised as well for doing so and their flags won't be worth a thing if they keep it up.

No seriously, I've reviewed for the sake giving tips, and they started accusing me and others pointing out the same shortcommings. While flaming crap is something a lot of us should work on, I don't think submitters are justified either....especially in the event of making submissions that actually blow out peoples' eardrums, have flashing lights, etc.

Don't worry about what the author says! If you know what you said has value they are only losing out on something that will help them grow as animators.

Constructive crticicism though. Again try to leave nasty comments on the author out of it. It doesn't matter how bad the movie is that doesn't give you an excuse to not follow the guidelines. You are making the situation just as bad by giving him attention if the movie is on purposely garbage. I'm sure plenty of authors deserve it and it might even seem to be appropriate at times but reviews are not a forum for ridicule or an on going conversations. They are for the movie and its merits.

Also don't stalk the author with abusive reviews because he left a nasty comment. IF he doesn't buy what you are selling what makes you think he will the second time around?

PS: stuff like "This movie sux! Its gay! " "I deleted this" I blammed this" is not constructive. That kind of thing could get you banned.

And I'll just say again that for everyone who may have a harmless, wierd, humorous or spammish review that had to do with the movie that the author thought was funny or simmilar reviews I think it is too bad that your reviews were deleted but some of you however are pointing out worthless reviews that shouldn't of just gotten deleted it should have gotten you banned as well.
