O' I know what you mean. Some of the topics (usually in general) are hard to reply to with more then one line. But the idea is to balance it out. If you make a one line post make three or four good sized posts. To be fair that is what by the looks of things you are going. Keep it up but remember that there is always room for improvement.

Well thanks again Decky! :D

I've looked at your posts and their quality has decreased slightly but I don't think that you have corse to worry. I'd maybe consider working on them a little more. The best piece of advice I can give you is that the amount you post is very unimportant compared to the quality of your posts.

Havn't a clue but for some reason I hope so. It's just nnice to have something that is unique to your country in every aspect. That way you can have something to be proud of and there are lots of new things to try when you go traveling. Just my opinion anyway.

Growing Up Posted January 10th, 2012 in General

When I left highschool I was given a year book. In the back of it was a poem that I read and thought was the biggest pike of rubbish I'd ever wasted time on but now when I read it it makes a lot more sence and I think it is quite beautiful. I think it's because I'm a lot more mature now and I realised that it's a great poem that gives you great advice for life. I often wonder if they knew that this is how everybody would feel when they read it a few years down the line. Anyway here is the poem:

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
And remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
Be on good terms with all peoples.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
And listen to others,
Even the dull and the ignorant;
They too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
They are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
You may become vain and bitter;
For always there will be greater and lesser persons then yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interest in your own career, however humble;
It is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
For the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
Many persons strive for high ideals;
And everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Niether be cynical about love;
For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
It is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
Gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strengh of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
Be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
No less than the trees and the stars;
You have a right toi be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
Whatever you conceive Him to be,
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
In the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all it's sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
It is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

So my question Newgrounds is. Is there anything that you though was bad but now you have matured you can see the point of or something that makes you think "God, I've grow up"?

I've never really had much to say about the UOTD. It seems a little pointless. I know it's a user that has posted at least once and is randomly picked. It just seems like from the name you would have to earn it. Don't you think? Maybe I'm just bitter because I have yet to get it.

It's all about the 3D sigs.

EmmaVolt originally made mine but I keep tweeking it to make it ever so slightly better, I'm thinking a border should be added next. Just a really thin one.

If you really want a decent sig I'd suggest (what a few people have before) you go to the sig makers in the Clubs and Crews forums. They'll make you one that's great :).

I think that general Newgrounds activity is on the decrease to be honest. It's sad to see and I know that compared to most of the EGB members i haven't been here for long at all but even I have noticed a drop. I guess the re design will give a bit of a jump to the activity on the forums.

Response to: TV Shows you've watched completely? Posted January 3rd, 2012 in General

Guess this could say a lot about your personality, I've watched quite a lot of TV in the 90's and early 00's (I was quite the indoor child) so here is my list, enjoy:

American Dad
Black Books
Bottom
Charlie Brooker's Newswipe
Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe
Darren Brown's Trick of the Mind
Family Guy
Father Ted
Friends
Futurama
Invader Zim
Only Fools & Horses
Red Dwarf
South Park
The IT Crowd
The Mighty Boosh
The Young Ones
Top Gear (UK, the good one)

Quite a few of them are UK sitcoms so will probably be completely unknown to three quarters of the users on here but everything there is a great TV show.

Response to: TY3's Art Redux Posted January 3rd, 2012 in Art

Your artwork is great. I love the general quality of them, it's rare that I see work like this on Newgrounds (that could be because I'm not in the art forum that much anymore, but anyway). Keep posting this sort of stuff you certainly have some great drawing talent. Though I have to agree with what the other users have said about making a new thread. Every user that starts an art thread improves and then looks back and thinks that their earlier stuff isn't worth looking at (in my opinion) so I would have just kept your old one.

Response to: The Stoner's Club Posted January 3rd, 2012 in Clubs & Crews

I'm going to cut down on the amount I smoke, I realised that I was spending almost to all of my spare money on the stuff. So I think I might not buy any for a month or so and treat myself to a new tattoo or something instead. Weed may be cheap but the bill soon builds up if you smoke it everyday.

To be honest it takes so much for me to even feel anything now that getting my ability to handle it down will be a welcome side effect. My mate used to smoke it everyday himself a while back and then quit but had abit on a joint aboiut 2 months after and was completely out of his face.

Maybe I'm just growing up alittle :/.

There is nothing worse then an overrated movie, I hate movies that have a huge following that you get made to watch because "you have to". An example of this for me would be Avatar, I just thought it was a generic storyline with some flashy CGI. I'd like a better plot.

As for movie budgets I think that sonme of the best movies are low budget movies for example Control about the lead singer of Joy Division is a brilliant film that was made for basically nothing.

Mine is a tie between Ghost Rider and Stealth, both of which were truly awful.

I have never seen any of them but I have heard that Ghost Rider was terrible.

The worst movie that I have ever seen would have to be either Disaster Movie or Signs. Disaster Movie is just a conmpletely horribly bad, unfunny movie and signs was simply the worst written movie ever. It's one of those movies that you watch with a confused look on your face like your thinking "I could have made this better".
