Why this place so quiet?
There's something mildly tragic about this thread.

Can't wait.
One moment, there's a sheer lack of women in The 'Reg' lounge...
What's the problem?
Plan ahead next time.
Put all your game elements in one movieclip and your UI in another and then just scale the movieclip with the game elements in.

This is a group for those who aim to abolish capitalism and all oppression to create an equal world, without leaders and bosses, environmental destruction or wars.
In short. I could summarise a few things if you want.
That's not a definition of anarchism. That's a definition of many things.
Not sure if this has already been posted.

I could give a reason but its best if you tell us.
I do not give up on the idea of freedom, rather I am not seeking freedom to the degree that I would take on full responsibility of my own protection. I agree to surrender certain freedoms in exchange to be part of a system which keeps me protected. I do not wish to buy into this anarchic ideal which hardly seems sustainable.
Also, what kind of anarchy is this thread about? I know this may fly into the face of everything I just said, but frankly, how can we debate anarchy when we have not yet defined it?
They won't bring the army in until they really have to. If they bring the army in then Cameron knows he's for it. He'll get so much bad press for not having things under control. Furthermore, the army is not seen as a very 'British' way of doing things.

There can be no free will.
So what is this truth that you speak of and what's even our motivation to be free? Why anarchism?
I may be being stupid here but 2 things.
1) Freedom doesn't make people happy. Just because someone has freedom does not mean they will use it effectively, in fact they are more likely to destroy themselves. People like to know that someone is above them, taking the fire. It lets people sleep better at night, rather than worrying if someone may kill you or how you're going to get your food...etc. Someone does not have a richer life just because they can make more choices.
2) People are afraid of true freedom. They have to have lots of responsibility, lots more hard decisions, lots of repercussions for their mistakes. People would rather have something to moan about, some sort of imaginary dark power which oppresses them, something they can do nothing about. If it was not so, people would revolt far more often than they do. People often have to be really pushed to have full revolutions, the tipping point is quite far.

Two Dogs
There were once two dogs. One was a big, strong dog, but a bit dopy and lazy, he relied on his size to get him by. The other dog was small but scheming and crafty, a devious witted dog that was constantly watching and waiting. The much larger dog was always picking on the smaller dog, pushing him around. He would make him do all the hard work and would always steal the smaller dog's food. One day the larger of the two dogs was struck by his master for no particular reason. The larger dog was distressed, but angry. He started becoming more vigilant around the master, wary. The smaller dog in all this was tempted to take advantage, get the larger dog in trouble, but he didn't, he concealed his hatred towards the larger dog and kept his head down. One day the larger dog bit the master, there was no reason to do so, he was paranoid. The master, in a burning rage, then savagely beat the dog and through him out into the sun to die slowly. The large dog was too weak to pick himself up and slowly felt his strength leaving him. Through all this the smaller dog just watched. When the larger dog realised the smaller dog was there he tried to get his help. He first started by barking orders at the smaller dog, but to no avail. The smaller dog ignored him as if he did not exist, the larger dog persisted though until eventually he was too weak to the bark. He then tried to deceive the smaller dog by scaring him with stories of the master's vengeance, trying to convince the smaller dog that without him he'd perish. The smaller dog carried on ignoring him. The larger dog then tried to convince the smaller dog that they were friends and that the smaller dog should help his friends. This too failed. The larger dog in a final plea of desperation begged the smaller dog for mercy. The smaller dog looked at him and said;
"Why should I help you? I could have taken advantage of all that has happened but I have not, my help to you was to leave you alone, it was your choice of attitude, it's your fault you're here. You could've just accepted the first time he hit you that bad things happen and that, if anything, you deserved it. I wash my hands of your blood and I am sorry it had to end like this."
The larger dog fell quiet and waited to die. He no longer said anything and died with a look of hopeless abandonment on his face. A single tear rolled down his cheek as looked at the smaller dog and took his last breath. The smaller dog said nothing and walked away, feeling sorry for the larger dog and how he died.

If I had an economy I'd name my currency something manly, like beefhammers. And they'd be really low value so a piece of candy would cost something like 50 billion beefhammers.
How about penes? There's nothing more manly than a good old penis.
