First thing that comes to mind is that there is a lot going on and not much separating it. I know its with pen you can't make anything but black really show up on skin but the dragon really gets lost in everything.

Were you not expecting a tablet attachment for a wiimote not to be a shitty hunk of plastic?
Then again, most attachments for wiimotes are shitty hunks of plastic that do nothing, so it's nice to see this one at least has a function other than making it look more likes something from whatever game you're playing.

While on the topic of games, star wars is fantastic, great mmo in a sea of wowclones, despite it also being a wowclone it has great story and a personality rather than a shitty gimmick or god forbid freemium.

No one NEEDS photoshop
there are plenty of alternatives
free alternatives, your argument is shit as all arguments for piracy are shit.
piracy is wrong and can't be defended no matter how innocent and needy most people on the internet make themselves out to be, because then it becomes a big enough problem where a bunch of people in their 70s try to fuck everything up on a global scale, because modern warfare 3 for free was totally worth that.
Do I condone piracy, no.
Do I think people who think they are entitled to things because reasons are fuckwits, hell yes.

If you steal food from a store, with plans to eat the food, not resell it
is it still illegal? yes
your intentions are not what matters, you're using something for free that would normally require a payment to have.
it's not even like it's the only decent option anymore, there are so many programs that do what photoshop does for drawing.
and does those things better than photoshop does.
because photoshop is a photo editing program, and always has been.

people who want to support smaller companies that actually deserve the money for the not super inflated price that they charge.

companies like the fine people who made sai.

The hat and boots don't really match the pants and coat.
The pants just look like pants
the boots and hat look like fantasy wizardry stuff
and the coat looks like it's from some anime.

I think if you had more of a theme going on here it'd work a lot better

I can't figure out how to word this without sounding like a dick but I mean it as a legitimate question.
Is it really that hard to just not draw a dude made of lava?

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted December 4th, 2011 in Art

I still draw, and draw still fairly regularly.
It's just my usual stupid shit that I've decided to not post here, or much anywhere honestly.
Whether it's a good thing or not, or some kind of phase, I've kind of stopped giving a fuck about actually posting my stuff.

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted December 2nd, 2011 in Art

Knoc, I don't know which I'd recommend, music is your livelyhood to an extent, while art doesn't seem to be. But something I can say is don't get a wireless tablet, they'll last half as long(totally exaggerating) as wired, and there can be delay and some interference issues.

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted November 30th, 2011 in Art

The crashes aint worth the ride.
Picassos are like riding down a hill on a tricycle, if you fall off you get a few scrapes but nothing major.
Davinci's like driving a Mercedes for 12 miles into a brickwall.

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted November 30th, 2011 in Art

I print out picassos(the fine art equivalent to acid), grind it up and inject it into my bloodstream regularly.

I feel both of the problems with being too humanoid can be easily fixed by changing the face a bit.
Give it different eyes, or a different mouth, no nose, or change it something else entirely.

Response to: Photoshop Overrated? Posted November 14th, 2011 in Art

Photoshop costs a lot partly because adobe is greedy as shit, and it is a really good program; probably the best their is, when it comes to photo editing.

Smaller programs have popped up, who couldn't hope to compete with adobe in reputation, but trump them in quality. If you're just getting in to digital art, I'd recommend SAI to anyone. It's cheap and you get the best of both worlds with vector and rasterized.
Although the set up for it is pretty clunky and crowded if you have a smaller monitor.

Something we all put our work through whenever we submit it.
Assuming the references that flowers uses are under share alike which most if not all references are, they are fair game.
Something in the portal that is not filed under share alike is not fair game.
That is our protection.

On the advice of someone probably more level headed then me, I've said my piece.
Peace.
