Assuming some of the old bugs are still in the system, they'll be scouted by no one... or something.

I don't even use the eraser on my tablet. I don't consider a pencil and a tablet pen the same kind of tool so I don't usually remember there's an eraser at the end of it.
That and the eraser has a fraction of the nib's pressure sensitivity so I just don't use it regardless.

My problem with the neck isn't that it's too long, but it looks like it's broken on the right, halfway down.

Is there something special I'm supposed to be seeing here and I'm a daft moron, or is it just the pic?

I'd imagine if they really wanted to they could contact people asking them, "hey, wanna design some splash art for the main pages?"

I didn't think it was necessary to specify that I meant the cartoons and not the games
most specifically this one, as it's the most hilarious bad of the 3 I'm aware of.

On the video itself, maybe that isn't even their preference in animation, it was their bachelors assignment, maybe to make a parody of old action cartoons wasthe assignment.

Condemning an entire decade of animation to nothing but shit is incredibly pretentious. I don't think when people think about how great the 80s and 90s were they aren't picturing the snorks and fucking extreme dinosaurs or god forbid, sonic. The good stuff, like dexter, powerpuff girls, batman, you know stuff that had effort and work behind it and not just mindless action or toy whoring.

And are you honestly saying the current animation era is any better than what we had as kids? Of what little we actually have of it. Flipping through cartoon network, nickalodean, a good chunk is 3d, another is embarrassingly flash work(I'm looking at you Johnny test) that makes the front page look like a shining beacon of hope, and then there's the fucking reality shows.

In your quest for detail and and smooth viewing you drew the finger with the sword on backwards.
It also has extra lines coming from it which makes me think you just traced your hand and added details where you thought looked right.

Why is this such an issue?

also dealing with the forums filesize restrictions/posting limit/single image posts for something like this is absolute hell.
this is literally the worse case scenario in practical forum set up to do something like this.

It doesn't really matter to me whether you're using livetrace or not, maybe you are painstakingly tracing over the differences in shadows with each color as you go along with the pen tool as if you were using livetrace.
That leaves me with 2 questions.
Why not just use livetrace? if people are going to assume you did it regardless.
and what is painstakingly tracing over photos teaching you, other than being able to do it faster?
