i like the image but not the white background or the missing eye .
as for everything else that has been said on this thread ,its a perfect example of why i have stopped posting on newgrounds . even when people do post original work someone stomps all over it . i say good luck to anyone who's giving art a go weather they have to trace use a line system or what ever, at least they are having a go at something creative with their time. you people need to learn to be encouraging to new artist's instead of shattering peoples enjoyment.
Yeah but the whole point of what Purgy was talking about earlier was this:
Does Magix's licence terms allow you to use your stuff for your animations and other things? What other things? Are you planning to sell any of the stuff?
You don't want a copyright claim coming to you all of a sudden just because you used Magix to make your background music.
the other things im talking about and main reason for me getting the software was im making a comic book in a sideshow format that i can put on dvd and getting people to do music for scenes would be a minefield of hassle . as i have bought and registered the software i have full use of the stuff i make . if i could afford to hire people for this i would but at the end of the day im doing my best to make a small comic not a Hollywood blockbuster this dose not mean i dont have respect for people who have taken the time to learn how to play instruments . all i wanted was to talk to other people who use this software .

i do not intend to put my stuff here just use it on my animations and other things i need music for . it seems everything i do on this site i annoy someone without even trying sorry if i upset the apple cart yet again
hi guys and gals.
i have just bought magix music maker 2013 so i can make my own music for my work and i was wondering if anybody has a sound pool that has effects such as footsteps and doorbells ? I would consider a trade in sound pools (or at least tell me what sound pool im looking for?) . also interested in talking to people who have used this program and would be happy to give me advice from time to time. im more and artist but this fills a gap and is fun to play with.
cheers :)
i use to use sketchup to make 3d models for poser . its a cool and easy to use program . i dont have the time these days to use it ( and my computer is already bursting with art programs) . but its nice to see this thread. on a more personal note im always on the look out for 3d model makers who could make me props for poser so if your one please pm me so i can add you to my list .
my advice to you is go back and take things slow . dont worry about brushes as you get more use to the software you will start to use brushes as you need them. all you need to worry about is a brush for hard lines ( i use a small hard brush ) and brushes for fill and shading ( i use soft and air brushes ) . start with easy things shapes ,fruit, objects parts of bodies this will get you use to working with the software . and a big tip is never work with a bright white background as this is very bad for your eyes when working with screens . i personally always start by placing a layer above my background layer that is a soft color. i dont use cs i use photoshop 7 yes its an older program but i am use to it and i dont like the cs versions .
good luck.
thanks for the feedback so far peeps , im finding this interesting
hello sounds peeps.
what im asking about is the thing i have been told that you can use 30 seconds of any song copy write free and get away with it. as i dont want to have a whole two years project wrecked by a breach in the law can someone tell me if there is any truth in this? its not easy to find out because of course each country has its own laws but putting things on the net can get very confusing . so truth or myth ?
hi folks .
im looking for music to use on my comic book . i have put a lot of years already into this project but i have now started reshooting the stories and placing them in movie clips so they are what i call a motion comic book . however i need music for the backgrounds and also a good theme tune . at this point its just a project and all i can offer is the credit for the music . if it works hope i help i will be happy to make other arrangements for the music. if you are interested please pm me for more details .
when ready this will be shown on utube and newgrounds and all work is made in poser.
as promised i have made more of an effort this week , i hope you like it .

it depends what style your drawing but in the most part you need to do two things .
one :start with drawings tubes and balls in an under drawing bone structure
Two : get some good reference books
You may be also toying with the idea to outsource your web development to freelancers. There’s just one advice to that: “Don’t do it!” .Freelancers are notorious for dropping projects midway citing several reasons or worse, they drop off completely from the radar. Once they have taken the advance, no more is heard from them. There are plenty of scams and con artists in the faceless digital world.
thanks for the advice.
cheers buddy : i thought about what you said and decided to blur the speed lines that works well , i posted it in my gallery at DA.
erm im working on a new caricature that involves a speeding sports car . but im having trouble making the wheels look in motion. ive tried motion blur and radial blur and both look wrong . ideas would be most welcome please . this is being done on photoshop 7 .
ok i will expect an F and try harder for this but i dont know crap about pokermon . but i do hope you find this funny KK its in my style ,the poke-a -mum theme and has a "creature" in it lol . yer i know i couldnt help myself.
art is all i have left and the reason i get up in the mornings. dont listen to the critics they should all be fried in there own fat if you ask me .
ok just a few notes to pint out for people wanting to join in .
as i said anything goes but ...
when you enter the city via the portal there is no getting out . guns and ammo would be hard to get your hands on unless you rob them , find them or come up with the huge amounts of credit chips to buy them from crime boss vinney.
in short everything is either in short supply or very expensive. so steal it or find the means to get the credits.
im working on a new story and hope to present it soon.....
I am pleased to say this thread is going to continue as i have had new interest in the game . i really wish more of you would join in but ho hum we will plod on regardless . little bro will back back .

yes save yourself the bother mate . there dosn't seem much point in wasting time on something people wont join in with dam shame really
awe, I liked the sketch you had before. Did it not transfer well?
no i dumped it because i hate everything i draw this week
ok guys ,dont judge this too hard im switching to a new computer so this got finished a bit quick , i might work on it some more some time
as i have spent most of the day throwing paper balls on the floor as i hate everything i draw ,im posting this and the sketch stage and asking what you think? right now i feel like throwing all my art stuff in the bin.
The animals you use as origin for your creature have to be real animals and not fantasy related creatures. You can create the craziest and most awkward being but it must start from animals that curently inhabit our planet. Yep , i just fucked your T-Rex+Mamoth sketch.
GRRR! ( kicks cat!) back to square one lol

when it comes simple cartoons think shapes under the "skin " . try a worm up exercise i find helpful . get someone to draw random squiggles on a page and you have to cartoon them in to things . good luck
Just coming from your page, and i have to say that your attention to detail puts mine to shame. and just like Aigis said, you gotta draw your ass off. but i find it also helps to be as friendly as possible here too not matter how dense some of the people act. kindness usually takes the rougher critiques of guard.
that is a valued point and i will try to remember that and not allow my temper to get the better of me. thanks for your comments regarding my art.
sadly newgrounds is taking me in the opposite direction i did like my art but i am now starting to doubt everything i do . but i must say one person on here has been very helpful to me and if truth be told he stopped me giving up all together.
But now lets move on to a flaw I noticed and it's not just present in this work but in other of your works as well.Your shading seems to be a little pale and bland. It wouldn't hurt to use some darker colors so that the image really gets a nice tone and contrast.Another thing about the last pic is while we are on the topic of shading it's seems that it is all over the place. You don't seem to have a light source here.Because the light on the kid's pants seem to be coming from one side but when we cut to his arms and face it seem like the light source is right in front of the kid. There are probably other flaws as well(such as the awkward perspective and composition of the building behind the kid...looking like the building itself is really small.) but for now I will leave you to fix mainly the shading.
thanks for the advice and yes as i have said in this thread before i suck a shading ,i always have ,the only time i seem to get it right is with oil paints. im only just starting to get this digital stuff in hand . but thanks i will not that. as for the other stuff i become rude to people who are rude to me i always have , i was raised that its not what you say to people its how you say it and people seem to forget that art is a direct link with peoples emotions and very personal to some. im my case art is all i have so i will defend my art with all i have.
