Wow... I forgot how short our subject titles have to be on this forum.

Anyone, anyone heard the new Radiohead song "These Are My Twisted Words"? They just released it (for free) on their website.

To be honest, I'm not liking it. Maybe it will grow on me (most their albums do), but for some reason I'm just not getting the vibe at all from this one.

Anyway, just thought I'd post it here incase there are any Radiohead fans about.

Topic: reduce image filesize?

Posted: 08/16/09 07:16 AM

Forum: General

I understand why the quality is filesize is reduced. However, I opened some 5mb files in paint and "save as"ed them. There were virtually no changes in the quality yet the filesizes were reduced to 1-2mb, even less in some cases. Maybe a professional photographer would notice the difference more but it doesn't matter much to me.

However, that process is too time consuming to do one at a time, because I have hundreds(+) pics, (which could be optimized to save a far amount of room) hence why I want a program that could do something for me.

Does Paint.NET have something like this? I'll check it out.

Is there a program that will go through specified photo folders and reduce their filesize? I found opening paint and saving as will reduce filesize by up to 75% in some cases without really damaging the quality, but doing this one at a time is really time consuming. Anything out there that will do this for me? I just have a lot of pictures of friends/events that don't really need to be 4-5mb each.

Forum: Video Games

What is a good place to buy games online from Australia. I don't mind if the games are from overseas, just as long as it's a reasonable price... and the games are in English :P

PS3, Wii games. Don't want to pay above store price (inc. shipping).

I found some good places that sell less than store price, but they only have free shipping within UK so from Australia it ends up costing more.

TY ;) ps I love you.

Is hotmail.com under some sort of maintenance at the moment? I can sign in but it's continuously telling me "I don't have an inbox." I've checked in my old account as well as my dads and brothers, all of which are getting the same thing.

Guess what guiz. I sliced my pee pee. You see, I have a habit. Instead of placing a spoon, fork, knife or spork in the sink - I throw it. From across the room. And I rarely miss. I also like to eat in my room. And, a week ago, I ate steak in my room. And with a big knife.

Long story short, I was showering, home alone. Walked from the bathroom to my room in a towel. And decided to put the knife that was left behind away. I walked to the kitchen, in a towel. Caught the towel in a door, stumbled a bit, and dropped the knife. It sliced my pee pee.

Luckily, not too badly. No hospitalness required. But it hurts to fap lawl.

Relationships all just end in heartache, noone falls in love forever and in the end someone is going to end up hurt.

I love my girlfriend and love being with her, but all I can think of when I'm not with her is how this, or any other relationship, is only temporary. And I'll probably think that way in every relationship I ever have the displeasure of getting caught up in.

I hate school and I can see myself hating my life no matter what shitty job I find myself in in years to come. I've been miserable for all my life, even as a child, and I'm sick of it.

No, not a suicide note. I guess I'm a stupid cynic with no future whining because I'm a frustrated teenage.

Delete, lock, whatever. I'm just semi-bitching here because the person I really need to be here for me isn't.

Is this even possible? Because I'm considering just doing it manually.

Also what's the big deal? AAC and MP3 sound the same to me, and the filesize is fairly drastically reduced.

OK, while I'm here, is there a program that will just reduce the filesizes of MP3's? That way I won't have to worry about organisation issues.
