Inuyasha, Naruto, DBZ, Bleach, Love Hina, Trinity Blood, One Piece, you name it, it sucks.
Anime is a poorly constructed storyline that involves a goal, which is pointless to achieve and can be achieved in 3 episodes. But instead, they make 50 of them to complete a day, or to complete one goal.
I can agree with you regarding those particular animes; that structure annoys me, and it's the reason I've seen so few animes, but remember that not all of them are like that. While they don't tend to be the ones that air on morning television for the little kiddies, ones exist that don't follow that structure. Best not to judge an entire genre with those ones to go on.
You probably won't agree, but for example, I believe that Ghost in the Shell SAC doesn't follow that structure at all, and that it has an excellent and intricate story that isn't just beat up all the bad guys and powering up...
Not only that, but the characters are poorly voiced. No one ever talks like that. Seriously. They couldn't get somone to read their lines, rather than go "YOU...EVIL..PERSON!", then followed by a gay speech about some generic topic that inspires the heroes, and they win whatever. Or, they lose one time, do a Rocky- Style training session that goes on for 20 episodes, and win the next battle.
Yeah, I hate that too. Something about nine thousand, right?
Also, don't tell me to watch it in Japanese. Anime in English sucks. Anime is Japanese sucks, just now in Japanese.
Right on the money here; if it sucks in English, it's going to suck in Japanese. Especially if you don't speak it.
