game development usually takes anywhere between 2 to 4 years for a game. we announced our game in 2006 at comic-con, and we've announced we are done before 2008's comic-con. that's right on target as development schedules go, and we did it with far less people!

but nobody really knows that, as i wouldn't expect anyone to, so that's why i am saying. :)

i think our biggest mistake is that we didn't tell anyone we had a long way to go when we showed it. it appeared almost done, but it wasn't. in reality it was only 2 months in!

huh? i was not nervous. unprepared, yes. they go "hey who wants to talk about the game?" and the guys all pointed at me. and then i had about 20 seconds before we went live for emil to tell me all the things i should show off, and go in with an un-levelled character but skip ahead to harder parts. lol I DID JUST FINE AND I'M STICKING TO THAT.

Life bar or not it's still going to be a good game.
And that's exactly what this game needs. After all, The Behemoth's main objective is to bring back everything that was great about arcade action games. And yes, this will still be a good game.

we like to elaborate on old genres. there are times where players get confused and cannot tell if they are getting closer to their goal. for those people, life meters are excellent because they can tell if they did the right thing by watching the boss's health go down.

I haven't played AH HD.
It can't be HD since Wii games don't format to HD resolution on an HD TV (you'll see it at standard resolution).

Anyways it must suck cause it's for the wii and it's an alien hominid game, for god's sake that game sucked, hardly sold for the gc and the few people who liked it played it here on newgrounds.

AH HD it is not a Wii game. it is for the XBOX 360, on live arcade. it is HD, and it is HD because the graphics were exported at a much higher resolution, just like any other HD game's graphics would be exported. there is a definite difference in the visual quality.

yeah the figurines are totally poseable. wrist, arms, body, head. you can swap out the weapons and shield.

the price is quite good really. figurines are very expensive to make, and we had the extra challenge of running 4 different ones, which means they run a lot higher because we aren't running a bunch of just 1 figurine. there are bulk prices and discounts, and we didn't get discounts. the booth next to us was selling 1 figurine for 60 bucks... many booths were. we were giving a pretty good deal if you ask me.

overall i think it's neat. good beat. string break is cool. bum bum bum bum bum. i felt like there was too much repetition with that beginning part, the string repeat of it in the beginning part seems a bit much -- i think if it went straight into the next bit with the bass it would flow better.
