Me too.

The voter of the month and winner of $100 is Pimp! Woah! Congrats Pimp!

That guy has to die sometime.....

Man. All this positive attitude is bringing tears to my eyes. I remember that not even a year ago, everyone on the forums was scared about Newgrounds dying. Everyone making threads "Is Newgrounds dead?".
And now this.

Pretty cool.

Almost read tunesday as "#Tunaday". That would've been funny.

Congrats to all the winners! I always loved robot day because gears and techno blitz things are cool to draw and look at!

Maybe we scared all the religious nuts away? So does that mean we're going to scare all the women away as well?

I can't believe I missed this question because I love that video! I've watched a few several times and should really get the MP3.
It's too bad he didn't upload it to Newgrounds though....I wonder if he has some sort of grudge towards us.

I live in a country where they only sell it in specific American stores. Believe it or not, you guys have a very famous and (sometimes) hard to get candy/cereal selection!

Did you even bother to look?
Calm down man, he only wants to know how to export a flash file to a good quality video file.

No he doesn't. He's asking how to upload a file to youtube or newgrounds. It says it in the title. The guy never came back either. I don't think he ever figured it out.

I mean come on. How to upload a file? That has to be a joke.

Response to: The problems of the future, today! Posted June 14th, 2014 in General

The first years I went on Newgrounds was for all that kick ass porn they had. Then I noticed they also had funny stuff. So I ended up staying for RAB, Blockhead and all that stuff.
Then I realized I could MAKE stuff like that. But then I also realized I wasn't that funny, so I crawled to the forums. And that's where I stayed for a long time.

I guess Newgrounds was always this place I went to to get my daily recommendation of laughter, but over the years it evolved into a second home and I made some great friends.
It's this one place on the whole web that accepted who I was through the amazing community and the different ways of expressing yourself.

Now I see it as a breeding ground for just pure bad-ass talent.

Cool thread bro.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to do this. Your country must have a tax treaty with the US to qualify and Malaysia doesn't have one.

http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/International-Businesses/United-States-Income-Tax-Treaties---A-to-Z

Yeah well my country does have a treaty with you guys and this is confusing the shit out of me. Do I need to apply for a tax ID number? But it's a US tax number? Will I get an audit or some shit by your country in the future if I apply for this?
When you apply for a tax ID in Belgium, there's all sort of consequences and it's something ill-advised for freelancers/artists.
This whole thing is making me super paranoid. It feels weird being on the grid with my animations.
Does youtube have this?

Bureaucracy is stupid man.

Response to: Post a cancelled project Posted June 6th, 2014 in General

It's not really cancelled, I might finish it for next christmas:

I don't really upload stuff to the project page, unless I'm about to submit it in the portal. So meh, not a lot of stuff in there that's "cancelled".

Now on my dumping grounds, that's a whole different story;

This is a thing that I'll probably never finish, ever. Or this weird thing.
I probably have way more stuff on my harddrive, that I'm slowly trying to get back to.
But I don't know what the future might bring.

Response to: Advice for someone moving out? Posted March 24th, 2014 in General

I moved out at 18 and I'm doing just fine. My mom missed me a lot in the beginning because I was a complete shut in.

There's not a lot of advice to give because this is all about gaining expierence, and whats the point of moving out if youre going to avoid the things you need to learn about.

The give job thing is something I'd like to keep in there because I don't want to attract clients with no sense of humor, it's something I'm very selective about.
Sadly enough it will probably decrease my options....

Hope that helped in some capacity.

That's very constructive and helpful actually. Thanks so much!
I'm probably going to end making a demo reel and get rid of the individual animations.
For the illustrations it's a bit sad that I don't have a lot of "artsy fartsy" drawings. The same for design. I haven't had a lot of design jobs so far, so its a bit "empty".

But I'll see what I can do, maybe even whip up a few designs!

I made a Portfolio! [critique?] Posted March 6th, 2014 in Art

I was wondering if there was anyone feeling generous enough to critique my portfolio. I just finished making it and it's a first draft.
So before I start on a second draft and then a final draft I'd like to hear as much input as possible. Just so I can see what I can implement and what I should leave out!

Not sure if this is the right board, but it revolves around showcasing art! So it HAS to be.
Keep in mind I'm NOT advertising my site in ANY way here. I haven't even started sending it out to clients yet.

Tips on how to best manage a portfolio are also appreciated! I'm new to the whole "art in the real world". Most of the things I drew were for my own pleasure and not professional.

I am thinking of creating different designs for each category of art to show that I'm versatile in designs.

Thanks in advance guys!
