I'm pretty sure you would've had to PMed LJC about the change before the end date. I doubt that's going to get in. :\

I agree with this. It's not CNB's fault his upload was slow.

You didn't miss this train because Mr. Beans and Corn had to bring his Trainwrecker. This train ain't goin' no where.

Not that big of a deal. I don't really have any quality DNB submissions and what I was going to submit for Ambient wouldn't stand up to what was submitted. I was working on a song though and completely forgot about the deadline. Oh well. Maybe next time.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

It is when you compare it to becoming a doctor or something of the sorts.

Which is exactly why the voting system is fine. Seriously, usually the blind 0 voters are low ranked. A lot of the more active musicians and members of the site that take part in the Audio Portal usually have higher ranks and can have a larger effect. So unless you make a shitty song, generally your score won't go that low.

This has been done, just not in this way. They have judges sign up who can't submit to the contest. Much better way to run the contest instead of everyone submitting and reviewing another's submission and zeroing. Some would be honest, but not everyone.

Maybe if somebody can't read music it may perhaps be easier to read a piano roll over anything on sheet music.

Also, just because you use virtual software such as FL Studio doesn't mean it's not real music. That's like saying a Dodo isn't a bird because it can't fly. It's all music, regardless of how it's made.

I got a... tool of some sort.

With that vote, you now have 3,600 experience points. You need 0 more to get to Level 19. The next Grounds Gold day begins in 21 hours, 23 minutes, and 40 seconds.

I want some Ultrasone HFI-550s. What I'd really like are those Beyerdynamic DT880s. Both are completely out of my price range though. :\

Altec makes some pretty decent stuff. The sound quality is quite good. The only problem I ever had with them is that the headset I bought from them doesn't work anymore. Partially my fault because I didn't keep it in the best of storage, but it still shouldn't have torn the wire INSIDE the volume control. x_x

You posted a topic at a time when not very many people browse this forum, so don't expect an answer so soon.

Anyways, I don't know what folder the sounds are in, but if you search .wav, you should be able to find some of the sounds. From that you can find the folder they're in.

Personally, I think there's really only two ways to fix this problem. One of them being that the people posting here grow up and have an actual discussion. The second idea is that they add some more moderators to the staff specifically for the AF. I know they added you and Rage not too long ago, but Rage is never active here. The moderators should be current regulars of the Audio Forum, not previous regulars or submitters to the Audio Portal.

Then again, there's always this.

Topic: Any trance/techn artists out there?

Posted: 07/30/07 09:34 PM

Forum: Audio

Most of the time a Trance song won't need much of a fill because of how large the leads are and such. I've never really produced Trance, but one of the main things I hear as a fill in a Trance song is an appregio of some sort. Other times I hear a pad. It really all depends on what sub genre of Trance you're making.
