"More money, more affluent and popular culture (Music, TV, Movies, social trends), less taxes, less government intervention, more opportunity, more overall financial and social freedom etc.."
Whether or not americans have more money I dont know, I doubt many people feel like americans have more money in general. I think british people would be more jealous of other british people with more money. British TV is popular all around the world, but that doesnt really matter, in britain in general people enjoy both british tv shows and american imports, there is no feeling that what comes out of america is better, there are some good shows and some bad one. America has a good movie industry, but its not something we are jealous of. American social trends spread around because of american TV and movies, but again, I dont see why anyone would be jealous of it. And the rest of the things on your list there, I doubt many are aware of the differences in tax etc
"Then, another thing Britons are jealous of is the sole Superpower status the US has"
I dont think this is true, I think this is just what patriotic americans assume everyone will be jealous of. I think the problem people around the world have with this is the america often bullies other countries in order to get their own way
"They have this sort of inferiority complex. In order to cope with jealousy, Brits have to be incredibly blinded by it to the point that they entirely ignore reality and take things out of context to perpetuate some myth of British superiority"
A few people do on the internet, but this is only because of the constant bragging you see on US tv about america being the greatest country in the world and being the land of the free etc, when you see someone banging on about how they are the best its only natural for a few people to try and knock them down a peg or 2
""Americans are lazy, uneducated, stupid" etc, when you look at the facts, the UK is FAR, FAR worse in those aspects. But Brits don't want to know that, because that would compromise their fragile views."
this is just a stereotype brought about by americans that cant find their country on a world map etc. I know someone that went to america and someone asked them if they had running water in the UK. From what Ive heard there are quite a few people in america who dont know much about what goes on outside america, so you could understand how it seems sometimes. Whatever the stats are or how you measure it, most people arent gonna know
"First of all, there is far less racism in the US than the UK, and the US treats minorities far better. Brits like to emphasize the small isolated racism in the south of the US and ignore their own racism in order to create the myth that they have a more cohesive society."
The average brit is shocked by racism, and its at the point where you are worried to even mention someones skin colour when describing them (which is a bit stupid), but on american tv you get comdians making racial jokes all the time, and even on NG you get people judging people by their race, which in my experience you dont generally get here in the UK.
"I got called a "Paki" in the UK about 30 times. One time I simply asked for a light and some stupid kid said what amounted to "go back to Arabia, Muslim" even though I'm not Muslim, "
I honestly find that hard that hard to believe, I work in a town with lots of muslims. In my office at the moment I have a muslim from morroco and a nigerian, and both have said very positive things about the attitude towards race in this country. On tv recently there were 40000 compaints because on a reality show someone called an indian girl "poppadom". Yes there is some racism here, but on the whole its very frowned upon. I wonder which part of the UK you experienced this? If it is true it sounds like you are judging us all by a small minority
"Well many British do, while probably next to zero Americans want to become British."
Well I know of quite a few people that have left britain to live in france, spain and australia. But I dont know anyone who has left to live in america. Whereas I have heard a lot of americans say that they admire the british, but then Americans are probably too patriotic in general to give up america
Dont get me wrong though, I'm not trying to say the Britain is better than america, just that its not as bad as the warped idea of britain you seem to have and we are certainly not jealous
