Hey guys! i NEED HELP!!!! i am in the middle of making this AWESOME new flash movie.... and instead of ONLY text i also want a really cool deep "Story telling" voice to read it to viewers. however my voice IS NOT deep and cool like that. any help on tweeking it?? i tried editing pitch but it just not work the way i want. any secrets about it u cud tell me?? PLZ!!! thnx.

well... i hate to say it... but if your object (symbol) were a button it wouldnt give you that error message. and if it is and you still get it. then its prob not an error. try debugging or just ignore it if you can export and it works.

try inversing your if/then/else commands.

ok look.... what your TRYING to do is put this code somehwere OTHER than a button. THIS CODE ONLY WORKS IN THE SCRIPTING OF A BUTTON SYMBOL! when you convert to symbol, make sure it is NOT a movie clip or a graphic. it needs to be a button so that when u add this script to it, it will work as a button.

P.S.-- you can use either on(press) or on(release) .... they are both BUTTON commands.

What? on(release) {"COMMANDS"} is the code that goes in the button commands... right click your button symbol and click actions. then write in your actionscript coding in there.
