I would love to do something like that, although im pretty sure 3xOsc is a good plugin to use since it is CPU friendly and it is customizable. although C64 probably has more sharp-er tunes so I would love to.

It doesn't matter. anything that clicks will work as long as it is electronic-style.

Anybody know what it is? sorry my english is not good

I want to say progressive rock, but it also could be electronica mixed with some sort of punk music... try looking up the tag words. You might find it.

Well, I've seen on a package "orange background copyrighted to..." and Amazon filled a patent on pictures on white background. Next step is copyright on chord progressions, and eventually on chords themselves.

They might as well sue the earth for having a certain sound resonance.

^ I agree.

FL Studio is probably the most simplest sound programs of them all as you can simply place a sound and play the notes using a keyboard however long you want as a loop, then place the loop into a playlist of which you can organize one or more loops in whatever order you want. Then export it to multiple main audio formats, even wav.

11/10 FL Studio for an audio program.

God forbid if in the future people start to copyright chord progression.
oh god. Please. No.

I would think it is impossible to copyright chord progression... They teach it in almost every class for music. They might as well sue the schools for teaching that kind of stuff if it were c/r'ed.

Response to: question about BPM Posted May 23rd, 2014 in Audio

When you get ready to work on a piece, do you determine the tempo before you start working, or do you do everything gradual? I noticed that a lot of people like to regress to 128 BPM. Do people start projects at 128 BPM then move it closer to their target tempo as they finish the track? I'm only asking because I tend to predetermine the tempo I want, then alter it little by little as I work on it, or sometimes it just stays the same during the entire course of the project. But I've heard that 128 is the golden number for a tempo.

From my experience, tracks seem to fit with a tempo that it starts out on. there are some samples that will get distorted in some programs if you change the tempo too much. (Take FL for example, It is pretty easy to change the tempo, but it will fix every other sound that is on the playlist, thus making you edit them piece by piece.)

Here's the details straight from the long description:

The short description sort of explains it, but in case you didn't get it, here is the full length instruction on what this is and how it works:

IN THE MAKING:
-----
A group of multiple artists get together and create a mix of different genres or types. (One general genre per mix though, so it doesn't sound like sheep.)

HOW THIS WOULD WORK:
-----
I'm pretty sure most of the NG community is aware of google drive, so we would share loops and samples to create a full-length song in the end product. Of course, we need to process some of the work using mastering, but that is a whole other story that will be discussed during the final stages of creation.

We can also use skype, google hangout, or some conversing app to be able to quickly create beats without having to waste time uploading them and reloading them.

CONTENT?
----
All artists and contributors will be credited, and we don't promote "stealing".

This is EvilNeon, with project one of saw party.

So the general idea here is to use google drive to share sounds and in the end, when we have agreed to use it as a finished product, it is posted.

(Please keep in mind as this is my first ACTUAL collab other than in Pocketband ULoops.)
(Also this collab is meant for practice or community building, so I wouldn't be surprised if anyone gets attatched)
