Pass it on - 1st Edition
Well I know collaborations are the "thing" to do now nowadays, but I don't think anyone has done one quite like this. The general idea is storytelling where you "Pass It On" and somebody picks up where you left off. This will create interesting results because every artist has their own take on how to continue the story. Since only 5 authors can be co-authoured only 5 can participate.
The idea is to have everyone do 30 seconds(not much work). I start it, then the next author continues where I left off, then the next does the same until all are finished. The last authour will then pass it back to me to finish the story, so that means another 30 sec. or less(however long it takes to end it) for me which will bring the entire thing to 2.30min - 3min. These will be short stories of course but I think this length of time is long enough to get some kind of point across.(hope that all makes sense)
Now, I want these to have a level of quality so only people who are serious and have some skill, you don't have to be the best just maybe have an award or two that proves yourself. You don't necessarily need to have an award to be approved just show me some of your best work.
There are some tricky things that I haven't worked out yet, like how is music suppose to be handled. Maybe we start with 1 track and keep it thoughout the whole movie, or music is dealt with when the movie is completed. Also if the different drawing styles clash is another concern.
This is the general idea of the concept. So what do yall think? Yay or nay?
