By doing this you abandon all possibilities of using easing which is a great way to get the illusion of a natural progression of motion. I would highly recommend staying with tweens, just make sure not to overuse them. They're quite useful and time saving.

I'm almost positive their all actors. It's hosted on funnyordie.com which is a site where people submit their videos that they've made and people vote if its funny or not. Also the clip was quite clearly edited overtop of AFV. They would not show a man swearing and ruining his life on that show. Have you ever seen it? They don't swear at all, it's almost a children's show =P

Hey, I realize I'm just butting my head into this collab thread even though I'm not participating, but I have been looking at this thing over the months. That being said I really dig what you have going there, and the colour of that first shot is much better in the later update, much darker tones. As for the smoke, you do only see it for a short time but I agree in the fact that it is a little too sporadic. Just add a few extra frames and it should smooth out. Smoke is one of the hardest things to capture in animation, just remember it's smooth and organic in it's movement, not like it's source -fire- which IS sporadic and also a huge pain to animate =D

I submitted an animation today that looked like it had the highest score of the day but it ended up with Daily 3rd. The animation that won Daily First for the 21st was a Megaman game and it did have a higher score, but it says it was submitted at around 9 pm on the 20th. Does anybody know what the deal is with the cut off times?

I don't mean to sound ungrateful or anything, I'm thrilled to get Daily 3rd, I'm just curious what the system is.

I've missed out every other time, but maybe this time I'll be able to join. As long as the theme isn't something silly like "fatherhood" I'll most likely be down.

So I finished my first animation in a while and I noticed the sound quality is terrible when I export to swf in flash. Usually the quality becomes fine when I upload it to a host website though like spamtheweb.com but even within that it's quite shitty sounding. It sounds like it goes from 16 bit down to 8 bit . Does anyone know how to increase the quality of the sound exported in an swf? The sound is of top quality within flash, but when I convert to an swf it automatically decreases.....

Anyways sorry for not posting, I've been keeping a very close eye on the thread though and it's turning out awesome, especially ColdReaver and Pink Skulls parts. But yeah I simply cannot bring myself to complete my part because it would involve me restarting (it wasn't turning out) and I only took the part as a refresher, which it has done, I am refreshed. Plus you already have a part for it so I don't feel quite as bad abandoning it =P

That turned out great! Much better with the big explosion, and I really like the muzzle flash for the tank.

That's looking awesome Feuse, one thing though. The explosions for the bunker are really well done but it looks off with the same movieclip looped over and over in different areas. I think it would look cooler if you made it just one big explosion rather then a bunch of little ones.

Ok I guess I'll compete for part 35, may the best animator win! As for the menu, don't forget who made those graphics = P

I whipped this together (amongst other things) and thought it looked like it would belong in a preloader or something. Not trying to force my idea on anyone, but if anyone wants to use this movieclip I made for something in the collab just ask me and I'll post the .fla

I'll take part 35 if that's alright, I nice little 5 second clip that I can pop out in about a week of on and off work.

Do you have many tweens? I remember there being a problem called dead tweens or something. If you make your tweens by right clicking on the frames in the timeframe its more likely to happen. It's when the last frame of the tween is still "blue" like it's a motion tween. I hope my extremely vague and possibly mythical reason helps you.

He's right, this is not only a very vague idea, but it's also full of spelling errors and failure to host. I'm not trying to put you down, but you come here and say you have the ability to make a collab but tell us nothing about it. Is it a fight collab with newgrounds characters ( like the game )? Or is it a series of animators working together on the same project? People on newgrounds may be talented, but that doesn't mean they're mind readers. My guess is this thread will die due to poor hosting in less than a day.

I think you can just make a movieclip that is the lens, then thieve yourself some code to make that movieclip your new mouse (I'm not a coder btw) then just use some basic masking.

Make the lens the mask layer is all I could think of and have what you don't want to be penetrable on top of that layer. That's what I'd do, not sure if it's right, but that's what I'd do. =D
