It's amazing really, I see this threads posted so very frequently. I'm sorry to say this but most likely no one will want to. Most animators on newgrounds are here to express there ideas and thoughts...not others. There are people here who's actual occupation is animation, where they spend their time animating other people's ideas. So when they come here the last thing they wanna do is animate ANOTHER persons ideas. I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but just preparing you for the inevitable. If someone does take your offer I doubt they will have much skill, nor be willing to spend the hours upon hours upon hours to finish your idea. So in other words, as the saying goes

"if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself"

go to your submissions and look at the positive reviews, always gets me =D

and to help you follow through I would suggest storyboarding it when you have the energy. I find something that kills my momentum is when I run out of ideas while I'm animating, therefore my whole groove is thrown off.

I am sad to say that although some of us (Mr. Dreary) are done our exams, some others may not be (CMS) so I cannot participate in this five hour collab, despite how deeply I want to. I'm afraid I have far to much homework and exam prep, So hope it kicks ass and I'll be there to 5 it tonight!

PS: I've always wanted to participate in a speed animating collab so when you make the next one if you could PM me it would be very much appreciated. Hope to work with you in the future

I haven't animated in a long time, this might get me back into it, I'll hopefully be on at 7 tomorrow.

But this all depends on what the subject of the animation is.

rotoscoping is useful, but when I've done it I feel like I cheated myself, because I'm not really animating, I'm tracing. Honestly if you can't get a movement down in an animation or are unsure of how it should look take reference pictures, thats what I do. Just so you can refer back to them to see how it should look, but other than that, it looks pretty cool.

I bike/bus everywhere so that's good I suppose. The only pain is I have to take folded boxes sometimes to certain nearby recycling containers at my work. Those containers are a ten minute walk away and I have to carry 50 boxes >:(

But all for the environment eh?
especially since where I work is a health and natural foods store :P

I've begun a scene in thats in the style of MGS 3 snake eater, He'll use camo, as well as his box to infiltrate a birthday party, don't know what hes looking for there, perhaps metal gear cake, who will know, but it should be short and sweet (because there's cake :D)

Should be done by the end of the week.

I've begun a piece for this collab, It's just gonna be a kids birthday party, then the kid lifts up a box and snakes there and will most likely snap the child's neck :P

The reason it was voted low was just that, it was only about 30 seconds long, although not 30 seconds of crap : P

Now the I don't think the portal is a bad place to place trailers, as long as it is original and different from the actual animation in some way. For example we (cybermonkey studios) are doing a zombie flick and while one person animates the movie, the other (being me) is doing the trailer, although the trailer contains no scenes from the actual animation just original things relating to it.

So overall I was impressed with it, although it was obviously too short for a submission.

but in the future, if your submitting a trailer to build hype, don't go to the forums to get people to look at it, (build hype for something that should build hype) its not really fair

I mean if you think about it people look in the portal when they want to watch some new flash, they come to the forums to discuss, and you came to the forums and told us to watch.

that just sounds lazy, tell me when you posted this you hoped that someone would do it out of the kindness of their heart? Don't mean to sound rude but unless you give some kind of incentive no-one will want to. People make animations for newgrounds so they will be reviewed and commented on, so people can feel accomplished after submitting and it being judged. In this though you will get all the praise and none will get back to the animator, I'm sorry but I will be astounded if anyone does this really, but I wish you the best of luck, If I were you I'd be out looking for a Video Camera.....

I wish you all luck on this collab, but plant eating cat, your animation seems very basic, and the sound is very abrupt and well almost shocking because they are so abrupt and loud, maybe find better ones, or edit the sound clips so they fade in or something, and it would look like your animation consists of 4 layers, very basic, maybe improve the background a little. I don't mean to put down anyone i simply am saying it could be better, good for a start though.
