Honestly you shouldn't rely on Newgrounds for money at all.

If you're serious about your work and want money for it this isn't the place for you. Newgrounds is more of a place where, as he stated, you can showcase your efforts to get more noticed which will allow you to grow a fanbase, later allowing people to notice and share your work with their friends or their fans as well.

However, if you rely on anything for money you need to be smart about it. Newgrounds is just a friendly community, not a huge income social network. I'll be honest, I love Newgrounds. But the day I use this website for money is the day Newgrounds is more known than YouTube.

You shouldn't. Everyone is the same just different amounts of effort and knowledge, and their own personality.
