lately I was inspired by this picture of AshlyAlyse http://ashleyalyse.newgrounds.com called "Queen of the Dead" to wrote a little poem i'd like to share with you. Please check out her NG-page and take a look at her work!

I included her picture to this entry.

And here is my poem:

Confession of the knight

I was full of fear till I saw her face
So pale, so scary, and yet so full of grace...

My quest was to kill the beast, the queen of the dead,
with the skeleton crown, resting on her head.

I tried to be brave, I was ready to go in the hall for the kill,
ignoring my fear, trusting my skill.

Oh, I wasn't prepared for that charm and wit, that lustful grin
filling my heroic heart with darkness, and the wish for sin.

She broke my will with her mezmerizing stare,
for my mission, I could no longer care!

Forever I want to be her slave,
watch her enthrowned on the grave
of thousand souls, eternally lost.
I don't care what it may cost,
my heart is now in her cold, dead hands
until my life, once and for all, ends.

Under her thrown of skulls I will find my final rest, here I will die
down to her feet, like an ragged old dog, I will lie.

Congratz to the winners, especially "Pico Day" deserved that first place. It was a very dark, thoughtful & gritty entry, I would like to see more of that stuff.

I just thought the same - at least we are not alone with the problem (occurs to me too, even with the newest Mozilla 27.01 and Win 7).

I'm just glad the forum still works, the NG Staff is looking into it and I'm sure they will fix the problem asap.

Kudos to all of them, still, I'm a little sad that a touching masterpiece like "Snow Hare" didn't make it in the Top 5.

I guess it's humanly impossible to find a solution to this problem so that everyone is 100% happy with it.

Some will hate you for this, some will like you, in this special case I would agree with your decision. As long as there isn't too much censorship on NG, most people here will accept such actions - even when they have to bite their tongue from time to time.

When you mark the url in your command line (left mousebutton) and hit "Enter" on your keyboard, the stats load and are shown correctly (at least on my PC).
Only if you hit "stats" in the NG-taskbar, it sometimes failed to load.

So I guess it's a problem with the taskbar. I'm sure the guys from the Staff do their best and solve the problem as soon as they can :)

Some great submissions, I would like to point out "Space Lord" today , this game almost created a new genre!

It's at least a very unique twist to the normal gameplay, kudos to that.

Sorry I didn't join the contest this time, my PC had a nervous breakdown last week. And to be honest, I doubt I would have any chance to win anything at all. Kudos to all participants, some great stories, can't wait to read them all :D
