On another note...I have been thinking of and will probably place in a top 20 who just missed out...originally it was going to be the "Top 5 who just missed out" but I have found that there are many many people who create some fantastic music, varied sure, but good nonetheless.

I still have a few openings for audio artists...so its going to be either mass voting for some artists or a couple I choose myself...

ANYHOW!

I have a few ideas for the list in general, these extend to but are certainly not limited to...

~Links to the main profile page for each artist.
~The artists most prominent genre.
~The artists "Best" song (doubtful here...an artists 'Best' song is determined by the person who listens to it.)
~A vote for the artists...as of which I will have you people vote on who you think is the best...these guys will be in the top 10 and I will try to get it somewhere where it won't go away XD. No voting for yourself!
~I will request an interview from The-Great-One that shall be sent to the top 10 artists...he may not consent...if he does not I will write it up myself :P.
~Finally there will be a 'Bonus' category for each individual audio area (exp: Techno, Classical, Dance...ect)...meaning that you people will select the individual who's audio is the best...there will be some restrictions to this. That may include me taking out cornandbeans for the bonus area...after all...having him in there would be something close to cheating XD. But that is something that will probably not be done...after all, got to make it fair for all ^^;.

If you guys/gals have other ideas you would like to see implemented please drop me a PM anytime! Or contact me via my alternate e-mail...

mr.alphaducky@hotmail.com (how can you forget that e-mail =P)

Of course you can simply place your suggestion(s) on this page...though I could forget to check >.>.

Cya! and awaiting responses! =D

Well...as some of you know I am making a list of the audio artists that people on Newgrounds MUST check out. I should have been done with this about four days ago now but I have run into problems along the way...

1. My internet has gone down twice when I was in the middle of making the list.

2. I had to go to the bathroom...everybody does...this time was different ><. As I was up there my little sister decided that she fancied hitting a couple keys and buttons on the computer. She turned the damn thing off! ><><...kinda funny in a way though XD.

3. Been running alot...but yeah >.>.

Anyhow...delays forgotten...for now, I should have the list ready in around another week. Sorry it took so long! Especially to the people who's name is on the list =O.

On a side note, I am still willing to check out people that YOU think should go onto a list. But do try to not give me artists that EVERYONE knows about, I would far prefer it if I was told of artists that really do not get alot of limelight...but those that are still good enough for a few listens.

Thanks!

^^; Damn problems :P

My music...I think its music =,=

I like this one =O

Got down voted on this one early on (how can it go from a 4.35 to a 3.11 in one vote? o.o)...and now I probably will again T.T

This is what I call music...they are mostly video game remixes of one type or another...but you might like the one techno song I made...original no less...but the techno scene is so damn difficult to get into...every time my song gets up the ranks somebody votes it down enough so that it drops back 5-6 pages ><. Blah blah...check them out! XD

Nope! I felt like a project, though I will admit this is partly for me as I have been arguing with many people on many different games about newgrounds...specifically the audio portal. They [those ingame] seem to think that there is no real music, no good music on newgrounds. So yes...this is for me, but it is more for the community of newgrounds itself. I have seen far too many audio artists who get NO hits whatsoever for no reason at all. In all...it has been bugging me...thus the list :).

Anyhow! I am creating a list of audio artists that people HAVE to listen to...these are going to be the best of the best on newgrounds. As such I am hoping to get advice from others on this topic as it is difficult to find the best by myself...

If you could, please post your response on my profile page as it will be easier for me to remember to check...any help would be nice...and remember! You CAN nominate yourself...but I hope that you remember to also nominate others as well.

I dunno...I suck and I am slow when it comes to writing, but I do try, and this is an idea that I came up with when I was listening to one of MaestroRage's songs...

To light and then to dark, that one footfall will tell a story of fate for one man. Having lost his beloved, betrayed by others he thought were friends. Setting his feet on the ground he turns to look at the place that he has called home all these long years. A tear down his face, the rain begins to fall, he can hear the Drums of war being played in the distance. Turning his face to the sky he allows the rain to pelt the grief from his soul, and so does he plead to make amends and seek out vengence against those that sought to destroy all he is and all he will be. As if his plea is heard, thunder roars drowning out the drums, and a break in the clouds shows him a blue sky, hope maybe, but he shall avenge his beloved. Turning he sets down the road to which not even a god can foresee his fate, he himself has changed his own destiny and now will he find that path to which strength leads. So as darkness envelopes him, the cry of the wind stops, its as if the world feels his pain, it last only for a moment...but for those with the sense, a battle like none other was building and history shall never forget the man who brought about the Fall of a Kingdom.

Its good...I think =.=

Well first I am going to advertise someone who just blew me away, dubbed the undercover musician, not many people know of him...which is really quite the shame...

Don't think that if the song starts slow it will stay like that...he has a couple that will make your hair stand on end.

Then of course...there is my boring audio...check out Fable - Rebirth...its a more soothing piece but I think I did a fairly good job on it.

I have been getting so few hits in the last month that I am starting to shy away from music...hopefully I will start coming back.

Hello there people, I have been around newgrounds for quite sometime now, and I have been a writer in school...I wonder how I will hold up around here.

-I have been writing since the ninth grade (school reports and such...didn't do a real story till the middle of my tenth grade year.
-Not that any of them are out...but I have three 'flash', or possible flash related stories in my folder upstairs.
-In all I have only written approx. five stories, the fifth being unfinished as of yet.
-You can call me AJ :)

As a little add on I will state what I need to work on...

-Unable to produce conversations with the story itself...I am just not good at it.
-The flow of the story tends to jump around if I work on it for too long...I guess you could say that I get to thinking of other ideas whilst I am working on the said piece.
-Character development is also something that I need to work on...though this isn't as much of an issue as I have noticed that I am able to develop the character(s) as the story progresses.

I am strong with...

-Introductions, setting the mood.
-Detail
On a side note...pardon if the above doesn't seem like it is coming from someone who actually has some writing ability, being tired really makes a person do many things worse.

Phew...done rambling =)

Hey, first post. I'm Brandon, Have about nine months of formal training in Shaolin-Do Kung Fu. That is a style in which there is a lot of body hardening (also known as Iron Body Training). I'll tell you from experience, body hardening is grueling, painful, and ultimately only useful if you know the forms to use stronger bones. If those techniques are used incorrectly, you will be guaranteed a broken bone, at least. I know this because I tried to harden my hands' bones and ended with a severe boxer's fracture, which didn't heal properly. Don't get into it unless you have at least a senior master teaching you directly.
________________________________________
________________________________________
_______________

I am not sure that you need a expert or a master on hand for you to learn this...I have been hardening my hands for sometime now (I will get around to the other areas of the body later when I am sure that I will be doing them right)...and I would have to say that there are a few key training methods that you should use that will not be harm-full if done right. I won't say anything right now, as there maybe someone around that is better qualified than I to tell you...but if you want a basic laydown and safety explinations don't fret about PMing me...

Also, the process of strengthing your body can be painful, but this can also be extremely useful...but once you start, don't stop unless you want to lose your hard work.

Topic: History repeats itself?

Posted: 09/06/07 09:57 AM

Forum: Politics

No, I do not think that history is completely repeating itself as in the fact that most if not all the political personalities of this decade still remember what happened while Nixon was president. On that I highly doubt that any such incident will happen again. Indeed, many of Bush's old followers are leaving office not due to what they think is right (most of the time) but due to the fact that Bush is losing support all over the united states, and as such he is not able to make decisions without the majority vote of many of his peers. I dunno...history does have a tendency to repeat itself...but I think that with him still in office, can we really say that it is still on track to do so?

Yes yes...due to my always meaning to be neutral I am actually defending Bush...oh well...guess thats what being fair is >.>.

Topic: Gun Control

Posted: 09/04/07 01:48 AM

Forum: Politics

Having not had bothered to go through all that was stated above...I will just make my statement on this issue known.

Don't make them legal.

Its that simple

But why?...as I like to try staying neutral in my arguments whilst only swaying one way or another a little...read below...

Before guns there was the bow, before the bow there was the sling, before the sling we had to fling random crap at anything that was coming towards us...the point? Simple, originally the use to projectiles was used as way to hunt, that continued until one guy and another guy angry and they started throwing rocks at each other, one of those rocks hit someone else and they joined in...do you see where I am going here? We, as human beings, have always been prone to acts of excessive violence for little reason, and that will never change, indeed even to this day we still act like children in a society of grown men and women.

In relation to the statement above, I think that guns should be outlawed to a point where only trusted individuals can have them, and perhaps people who live in excessively dangerous neighborhoods. Even then I don't think it would be a good idea. I mean, if you were in danger and you took out your gun and you fired off a shot or two, you would probably scare off the assailtant. He/she would then come back and shoot you...simple, then they would take your gun. If we allowed the use of guns as property upon ones self we can be sure that the overall crime rate would increase, and justifiably so...

...and yes I know that you will say that outlawing guns will not stop people from having/using them...but outlawing something does keep many people from even trying to get their hands on the illegal subject. Why make guns legal in the hopes that we will make a safer community, when in fact we will make it dangerous to even walk outside and get the morning newspaper.

Dubbed the american virus by quite a few of my peers, I personally see other people of different gender, or of different race as being simply different...different in the way they think, different in the way they talk (sometimes), different in what they believe in. Funny how what was just said can also be related to many many white people.

Anyhow...here it is...you do find racist black people, but there are less of them than white folks. The government could never allow a black man in for President, even IF the people voted for that person. So this I ask, why is it that the United States government, those that precede the people in judgement, speak so fairly about blacks and other racial groups and act not so differently towards those same groups that they spoke just and kind words to?

That brings up a bigger question...why are people racist...there is no reason to be other than what was drilled into them generation after generation. So why is the government like this?...and why, as the people, do we not stand up and ask the same question?

Hi Cosmos8942, welcome to the club.

Is there a perticular reason you train in such a wide variety of martial arts?
Do you take all of these at one school?
The main reason I think is due to the fact that I tend upon a wall in anything I do...in this case I may be having a hard time with one style so I will simply move onto another and come back later. As for an instructor...I used to have one sometime ago, private...we first met up by accident (I was just wandering around and I nearly got run over by this guy XD), and so he trained me some...since then I have just been teaching myself using the internet, books, my own intuition, etc. I probably wouldn't be able to take on any level belt in these arts alone...but if I was to combine my knowledge...I am fairly sure I could hold my own against some black belts.

But really...I train in multiple martial arts because I prefer diversity, and I find that one style, in many ways, complements the other styles, and actually helps me train in these other styles.
See, the reason I don't like that is that you are getting no benefits of a school or Sensei/Shihan. You could be punching wrong or kicking in a stupid manner, and no one could tell you if you are messing anything up and you can/will hurt yourself if you take these things too far.

My suggestion is to go to one school and get good at one art. After you study it, you'll see how it relates to all other arts and some aspects of all arts stays the same, and the overruling theories of Martial Arts are the same no matter what you do. That is the sole reason a club like this can exist.

Pardon this second post =.=...

Yeah...I will go to a academy after I get out of my BASIC training for the airforce (and through the school and the two-five year advocate afterwards). Also, I know I could injure myself doing these in a improper way...that is a risk I am willing to take, at least to a small degree...for now I will stick with what I know, and what I do know is I had better get back into my Huc Chung regimen...
