Yeah, I don't see Lidge as being the go-to guy that you crave. It could be time to bring a talented youngster through, as it could make the difference for you guys, possibly having Lidge to fall back on.

What, another one? :P

- Starter?

Well, with Pedro gone, I think you could only move to promote JA Happ - he's due for a breakout season, so put some faith in him.

- 3rd baseman?

That's a definite now - Feliz is out, but not completely turned aside from the Phils. If they can't get someone like Reynolds from Arizona (Yay, more Ks :P) then Feliz' gold glove calibre defence could be fallen upon.

Interesting thoughts. I don't watch the Yankees on a day to day basis, but if you think that is the option, well I guess age is finally catching up to him at his postition. Still, any Molina behind the plate is a good replacement.

Molina will be a good backup, plus he's a great defensive mentor for someone like Cervelli, who can call a good game.

Behind the plate this year, we all know about the issues with Posada / AJ, but the numbers of passed balls that Posada coughed up were up on his usual. With age, the defence will only go downhill, as will the power numbers.

2) Re-sign Matsui - there's your DH right there, so there would be no room at the inn for Posada. Sorry, but that's business.
Ya, that guy was a thorn in the Phillies side this post-season. Him and Damon at the plate... might as well just walk them to limit them to something less than a HR or 2B.

A rather interesting tactic :P It might just work though, if you don't mind pitching to Tex / A-Rod and then Posada / Cano... ah.

What exactly was misguiding about what I said? Looks like what I said was actually factual and not really a point of view or an opinion in anyway. Especially the part that you quoted where I said voice acting and singing was perfectly fine on the audio portal as he said it was only for instruments.

Not yours, his. Basically, I was putting a stop to the kangaroo court that had appeared here. Since I can, I deleted the review and gave Josh a fair crack at writing a decent review for the piece, though the sarcastic U-Turn has been noted.

I'm considering a similar sort of piece for when I get my new microphone at Xmas. It's going to take me a while to get it just right and it will be the biggest piece of voice acting that I've undertaken so far. Since I share that opinion with you, it wouldn't be too good if I didn't defend it :P

I'm eager to see how much of the team is going to be sold off. Matsui and Damon I hear are most likely to be leaving.

I don't want to see Matsui go - he's too good a DH for us and that's an integral part of an AL team, no matter how much I dislike the DH rule.

Buy two and get one free. Everything must go!

Not quite a Rockies or Marlins end of season sale, but we will be losing some talent to move players around. I'd like to see Cervelli and Molina share catching duties and our new prospect in the outfield come through. If this means we will be losing outfielders like Damon and Cabrera, then that's what we've got to do. I'm unsure as to how we're going to play the situation with Nady - he can hit pretty well and I'd like to see how he can cope.

Then again, I'm not Biran Cashman or Joe Girardi.

You can do turn based, on the dice rolls, where you have to play percentages and get as many people around the intended victim in order to increase your chances of kicking his teeth out, or you can play real time, which is something I've not been brave / stupid enough to attempt yet.

Oh and look on eBay - you can get it for $30 from a seller, who exports through Thailand. Electronics are so cheap over there ;) The box may be in Thai, but the game can be installed in English.

Since I've never really been into the horror genre, I'm not particularly surprised by your feelings, but I would say that I was more in the mind set that you can write a piece of suspenseful thriller style, without having to go into details on blood, guts and actually breaking the suspense, by delivering closure.

The words in the letter didnt justify the break in and what the doctor did to break in didnt foreshadow anything. In essance, useless.

I wouldn't have said that - I was writing that to prove that there were two sides to the coin of the 'monster' (Smith), by pointing out that he largely holds the laws in contempt, distancing himself a little from humanity.

To sum it up, your story was long, used good grammer, and the world was perfectly set up. And thats it Im sorry to say. 3.8 out of ten

Your review didn't specifically use good grammar ;) You can download a spell checker for your browser, quite easily :P

Time to get rough, boys and girls.

Like American Football? No? Good, because this is a lot better! Take control of a team from one of the 8 races available (Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Chaos, Lizardmen, Dwarves, Wood Elves and Skaven) and set your battle lines. Get the ball to the end zone and score touchdowns, while the hard hitting blitzers and blockers on your teams attempt to reduce the enemy to pate.

Have you got what it takes to rise to the top and claim the glory?

Basically, if you play and you fancy a game, stick some details here and I'll see if we can get some carnage sorted. I'm currently enjoying playing as my Lizardmen team (4 Skinks, 6 Saurus, 1 Kroxigor) and if we can hospitalise a few opponents during a game, we're doing well.

I've managed a few killing blows as well >:)

LET THE MAYHEM COMMENCE!

What we could do, maybe is just have a year end contest and make it extend up till the first of next year since you've already lost a week in Nov.

To quote Rockhound from Armageddon, but forgive me for being the materialistic weasel of the group, but do you think that Ton would see it clear to consolidate the prize pools for November and December - I think that would make $180 Dollars of Store Credit for the pool.

Now you could make a sliding scale of $100 for the winner, $50 for second and $30 for third - I prefer a sliding scale. What do you say?

If people are ok with that, I think I should be able to judge in Jan, you'd have more time to solidify and edit and revise, wink wink. We could see if a longer contest is a good or bad idea.

Now we're looking at longer, better quality submissions, I would suggest that we have a criteria of not submitting the piece until at earliest December 1st, allowing us time to think about what we are writing, prepare drafts, and iron out any plot holes.

Perhaps the submission rule that means any submissions should be presented as news posts, then links submitted in the thread... though conversely, this could be prone to abuse, by authors that would seek to edit their submission past the deadline. Naturally, this call is down to the organisers, but there's my two pence on the issue ;)
