The one mitigating circumstance with that was that I was beta testing the site for him and when it launched, it fell over almost 5 seconds in. I know it sounds arrogant of me, but damn, he was going so fast for this to happen. For a stunt team to recreate it, they would need a launch rig, 4,000-5,000 (possibly more) psi of pressure on a nitrogen cannister and considerable good fortune that the house doesn't collapse while filming this.

This guy must have aimed for a treble.
Driving a car so fast that it leaves the road, ploughs through a hedge, off two cars and ends up embedded in a wall 4 feet off the ground is not the best thing to do in any circumstances, but when it's snowing outside as well, that just makes it worse.
It looks like these two Audis and BMW won't be going anywhere for a while. The guy was seriously injured, but for arsing about like that, i can't help but feel that he deserves it.
Your thoughts.
Well, after two races in 2013, a few things are certain:
1) McLaren are shocking and not in a good way.
2) We're in for some drama, even if it's just handbags at dawn between Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.
Australia was a relatively tame affair, compared to the drama that I just witnessed at Sepang. Starting in the wet, Vettel did not get away as fast as he could have and when his rear was tapped by Fernando Alonso, it damaged the wing. Fairly innocuous, he would come into the pits at the end of the lap, I thought. Apparently, so did the commentary team and the Ferrari mechanics. Someone forgot to tell Fernando and when the second pillar snapped under braking for turn 1 on lap 2, he was a passenger into the gravel, his race over. Stefano Domenicali took full responsibility for not bringing his driver in to change the nose, one of the worse decisions of the day.
Dramas were happening everywhere and with a changing track, Vettel came into the pits a couple of laps early and threw away the lead, lapping slowly as he came out. Other teams made a better decision and capitalised, gaining ground on the Red Bull. Lewis Hamilton made the embarrassing mistake of pulling into former team McLaren for service and the bemused mechanics waved him on - they were ready to service Jenson Button. Fortunately, he carried on, so no-one could see Lewis blush under his crash helmet.
Fast forward a little later and with the track continuing to dry out, the Lotus cars were finding going difficult and the harshly penalised (3 grid places) Kimi Raikkonen was not able to make any ground on less competitive cars. Up front, it was quickly becoming a tussle between four cars - Webber, Vettel, Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, who was closing down on the squabble nicely. Pit strategy played out, resulting in a switch between Vettel and Hamilton, but close racing reverted to the above running order soon afterwards.
A couple of dubious pit lane releases meant damage for the Torro Rosso of Jean-Eric Vergne and Charles Pic, as they collided, Torro Rosso being guilty of unsafe release there. Another incident put two cars close together, but with the drama of the race, I forget who was involved. If I were a proper reporter, I'd watch the whole race again and take feverish notes!
The Force India cars had issues with wheel guns in the pits and were forced to retire both of their cars, due to overheating issues. Paul di Resta had managed to post a couple of fastest laps on the drying track, before coming to grief, so it was especially bitter for him.
McLaren had one particularly hairy moment, when Jenson Button came into the pits and had a wheel not secure properly, perhaps costing the team half a minute to repair. Button later stated that this mistake cost him a podium, coming home to retire the car, having been running 12th, a few laps from home.
Sat in the grandstands, Sebastian Vettel was all over the radio, telling the team to move Mark Webber, as he was just too slow. The team refused and "action 2-1" was in place, though on lap 46, the German had seen enough of the rear of the sister Red Bull. He pulled to the side on the home straight, placing his car inches from disaster of the Pit Wall on his right and Mark Webber's car on the left. Being lambasted by the team engineers and Christian Horner, he was told that "this is silly" and "you'll have some explaining to do"
Mercedes had made a grave error with their predictions for the weather and had under fueled Lewis' car, meaning that he had 16-20 laps to drive on fuel saving mode. This exposed the petulance of Nico Rosberg, over the radio, telling the team that he was going to pass Lewis, as he was too slow. Ross Braun managed to reign his German driver in and Lewis admitted after the race that Nico deserved the podium more than he.

So I wait until the day of the next update to respond to this? Damn, I've been slipping a lot of late, but I will try to keep up a reasonable presence here...
Right, courtday has finally been Cooped and ViceFullbuster has appeared as the next target, though at some 16,312 points ahead, I will have quite a journey to catch him. I'm not saying that I can't, but I will keep my pace as high as possible and keep the pressure on him wherever I can.
Thanks for the update, Bahamut.

So, this is a new idea. That much I understand, yet that's about as far as my understanding goes - what is it a new idea for? As a short story goes, it's too short. As a script for an animation goes, it's awful, with lack of description and stage direction and as a creative work in progress goes, it needs a lot of work.
We made it onto the Wiki page last night, with out 15th straight win. I know, it's the 3rd longest winning streak of the season so far, with the Heat's 25 game unbeaten streak and the Clippers' 17-game streak that we ended on the 1st of January. Hell, our franchise record 15th straight is shorter than THREE Lakers streaks (16, 19 and the record 33)
New Orleans is the next stop for the Nuggets on Monday night, while the Heat look to keep up their winning ways against the Bobcats, where the Heat are nigh-unstoppable, with a 31-3 record...
8 games shy of LA. Can the Heat do it?

Is that gum you're chewing? In the bin with it!
There are a couple of videos of us celebrating after winning. From 2011 2012 and hopefully one for next season ;)Are you the one filming in those videos? It's kind of hard to make out the faces at times; I can't clearly see someone who appears to be you. :(
Yeah, I was the one with the camera, hence why the quality was so poor. Perhaps if I can get a girlfriend who is willing to attend a game or two, she will get some action shots of me in the middle, or even some video footage. We shall see.

I know the DM could be helpful, so if I can get the chance I'll jump back into D&D. There's a store near me that specializes in selling and playing of table-top games and card games.
That's a good place to start - I was a member of a club for about 15 years, then got into gaming with a smaller group of friends. Now I spend my time with two groups with a core of three (myself and two others), with satellite members, who make up the remainder of these two groups.

I say just give them the rings, the drama is DEAD.
Well, the Nuggets are proving that we don't need superstars to do it. I want to see that matchup, with Heat - Nuggets in the Can.

I wouldn't trade the vocals of greats like Bruce Dickinson, Ozzie Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio, James LaBrie, Alice Cooper, hell, even James Hetfield or Dave Mustaine to have just instrumental metal.
Instrumentals have their place in Metal, just not all of it.
Title : Calico Joe
Author : John Grisham
Genre : Sports
Publication Date : 2012
ISBN : 978-1444744668
The American summer brings together a strange breed of men - The boys of summer, they are sometimes called, people who while away hours playing the game of baseball. That was the main reason that I picked the title off the shelf in the book shop a few months ago. I'd been meaning to get into John Grisham a while back and now seemed like an ideal time.
In the summer of 1973, the Chicago Cubs called up a phenominal kid of a first baseman, known as "Calico Joe" Castle, due to his hometown being Calico Rock, Arkansas. Mercurially talented, he hit safely in his first fifteen trips to the plate, smacked home runs to left, right and center field, while also stealing bases and utilising the drag bunt to get on base, when other methods are shut off. His defensive ability is not discussed, but the talented character appears to be a rare gem - a five tool player.
The narrator of the piece is the then-11 year old son of a major league pitcher. Paul Tracey's father Warren plays for the New York Mets and he is a journeyman, having moved from club to club and garnered a reputation for hitting batters and generally being a clubhouse cancer and a drunk, when not playing. His numbers, though not spectacular have enabled him to remain with the big club, but for how long?
The Cubs and Mets face one another at Shea Stadium and the unthinkable happens - Castle hits a home run off Tracey in the first inning, then in the thirf inning, he gets a fastball in the face and the fortunes of both the Cubs and the two players involved take a dive, as Castle recovers slowly from his injuries and Tracey never recovers his game, eventually being cut from the team.
The story deals with the aftermath of the events of August 24th 1973 and Paul Tracey's last wish for his estranged father to admit to Calico Joe that the pitch at the head was intentional and to seek forgiveness, before he dies of an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer.
I am reliably informed (well, from Wiki, at least) that this is nothing like the traditional John Grisham piece, which are usually full of twists, turns and tension. That said, I could not put the book down, even though I should probably have been doing other things with my time. Quite a heart warming story, that makes you feel glad to be alive at the end of it, because no matter how much of an arse Warren Tracey was through his life, he still made an effort to make things right, before it was too late, despite being harried into it by his son, almost every step of the way.
A great piece that brought a tear to my eye, particularly with the good grace that Joe Castle showed at the very end. That guy would have been the once in a lifetime player that the Cubs probably could have used to erase a curse. Oh well, the Cubs can always look forward to next season.
