Flash forum isn't for advertising your flash on NG, and I'm only saying this because you seem to already know the main fault you have (animation not being long). You don't need a mic to make a long animation, you can always try music videos or subtitles. The best animations dont have talking watsoever (eg Bitey).

So take more time in your drawings and animations, make them longer and put more than a few hours work in.

Jungles are darker and have many shadows. They also have small light sources with beams of light coming thru in diff sections. Try adding "light" to the picture as well as darker surroundings.

You silly boy. Only add the i+=5 in the for loop, not in the main code itself! >:)

Pretty good tutorial, very useful if you later want to calculate the angle at which the ball has to jump off at after a collision.

Noice job =) Now to make it work for irregular shapes (triangles, pentagons and watnot)

If getting up is non-existant in the frames before at the beginning of the movie clip, the instance name may possibly not be recognized. Rather, try to set the actions up inside the gettingUp MC or on it to set the MC above it's actions to true.

It's weird when stuff like that happens and you just have to get used to getting around it.

How long have you been using flash
4 1/2 years now. Mostly these past two years.

It started out being "OMFG I CAN MAKE MY OWN CARTOONS?! WOAHHH"

And then it quickly escalated to "I can make people move... and jump... and I can program games with this thing (flash) too?! "

Then I practiced and practiced, made some flash, submitted one to an AG Contest and won 2nd place and here I am, 1 1/2 years later.

LOL you're offering cheap money (200 dollars is little compared to what sponsors can give) and you aren't even doing anything.

well you can always maked blurred clouds zoom past behind the character.

Just draw a cloud shape, convert it to an MC and motion tween it across the stage. Convert all the frames of the tween into another MC and add a blur filter to it. Then resize and add those cloud MCs into the main timeline where your character is flying fast.

If you are using a vcam..rotate the camera a few times when the guy hits the screen and then when he slides down tween him and some 50% transparent blood moving downwards.
