This might be true, but do you have any sources on it? Did the U.S. really put Pol Pot in power, or is this just something you heard or read somewhere?

Response to: Who is your candidate? Posted June 30th, 2003 in Politics

My top eight:

1. Bush, George W. - US President (100%)
2. Libertarian Candidate (90%)
3. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (70%)
4. Lieberman Senator Joe CT - Democrat (67%)
5. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (64%)
6. Gephardt, Cong. Dick, MO - Democrat (63%)
7. Kucinich, Cong. Dennis, OH - Democrat (61%)
8. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (56%)

What suprised me is that the Libertarian cantidate wasn't at least tied with Bush.

They don't hate Arabs because they love their country, they hate Arabs because they were attacked by them. Even if they hated their country, they could still have the same feelings.

DC is probably my favorite out of all the mods and even original BF1942 itself. I usually play heavy assault so I can take out choppers and such although the addition of the RPG launchers has me playing regular assault more frequently. Those things are like mobile mortars.

I would describe my playing style as 'mobile camping'. I'll move, then stay and shoot/defend at a point, then move to the next.

EOD is pretty good, but it needs work. The M16's damage is far too low and unrealistic. However, I do prefer the easier EOD helicopter controls to the difficult DC controls. They also need some true foxholes. I do think EOD has more 'flavor', of a sort, in it. The little touches like 'Ride of the Valkyries', the helmet art and slogans and the 60's music on the radio really give it an authentic feel.

My username is 'Commander-K25' most of the time.

EOD and DC are incredible! Regular Battlefield 1942 is pretty good too, now that version 1.4 is out. The ew Jap gun owns.

There's often a lot of contention over the "in his image" statement but can that be taken literally when you're talking about a God without apparent form? I believe that "in his image" refers to modes of thought and patterns of intelligence. We think along the same lines that God thinks, just not on the same scale.

Or, you could take it literally in a different way. If God exists in superspacetime that contains many universes, each universe could potentially be considered akin to an "image", sort of like a disc image. We were created within one of those images.

Yes, in the age of public apologies that supposedly "make everything right", that might be expected, but remember that he came from a much different time. There's no use in apologising for the past because back then he really did believe in those things. Just because he did not sign a formal document saying "I have changed" means nothing about what he did or thought.

That's probably true. Evolution does not have to reach towards complexity or advances as we might think of them. It merely strives to find a niche where that species can thrive. I think we can certainly say that the roach has done that.

Yes, at first a tool making species had to come about, (evolution of homo sapiens), but as time went by, the tools kept evolving via the skill of the toolmakers, but the toolmakers didn't evolve much physically.

True. Technology has probably severely slowed human evolution, in the natural sense.

However, technology is what allowed man to survive, prosper and become the dominant species. We don't physically evolve so much as our technology evolves for us.

It's the old case of adapting to fit your environment, or adapting your environment to fit you. We chose the latter.
