I enjoy the Mother games' music. I also enjoy the music from Kingdom Hearts. Whenever I hear the music from those games, my skin tingles and I get nostalgia goosebumps.

I don't think there are any tips for writing. Everybody has different tastes and opinions, so the one size fits all method does not apply here. You either are born a writer, or are not. Some say I have a talent for writing. Humor seems to be the easiest to write (for me, I know it may be hard for others), but I am also good at most other forms of writing. There is no one genre easier than the other, it really depends on your potential.
