The problem I'm encountering exporting to avi within flash itself is that it only exports whatever is on the main stage and not if some scenes are done as symbols...
That Camstudio looked like a possible solution from the outset but seems unable to want to capture audio even when I tried to set it up to do so manually...
So back to my original question.
Does anybody know of any decent swf to avi converting software out there. I don't mind paying for it.

ok, so are you stupid enough to not realise that over the internet, the chances are 100's or sites have the same colour scheme, jesus fucking christ
You're not bright enough to try and flame me. Run along now, there's a good lad...
I made a flash magazine thing and lost all my original library data when my computer screwed up recently (really should remember to back up all my files!)
I'm just wondering if there's any way to retrieve the library from the published flash file or do I have to design it all over again (groan)
I tried dragging the file onto the main stage but it just launches the movie.
Because I design everything with Xara. I can't comment on flash's design capabilities as I haven't used it. But the interface looks like a right arse on and xara is a really powerful vector-based tool.
I generally import text as a graphic. Then I use a motion tween and reduce the alpha rate to fade in or out. If desired effect isn't acheived then you can fade a foreground (the same colour as background) in front of the text... this produces the same effect unless the text is in different colours then it is more uniform.

But, everyone already knew the world was round.
So, why did the pope perseciute gallilao then 1,400 years after the meddling massiah - as the pope *is* God's official spokesman, knows him personally and speaks on his behalf???
If Jesus truly was the son of god and god truly was the creator of this world, then why didn't god explain to his miracle making son that the world he had created was, actually, round?
This would have prevented the persecution of Gallilao some 1,000 years later, an event that the all-seeing, all-knowing omnipresence himself must have forseen.
I'm not a great fan of Israels foreign policies. But why do you always want to 'discuss' topics based on colour or creed? And I'm not going to debate with you until you respond to my comments on the gypsie thread.
Why don't you make a movie about two people arguing over if anyone will be interested in giving them ideas to make a movie!!
you said 'giving "THEM" ideas' which in this context refers to either one of the people arguing. thats what made me assume that you meant me. if i was wrong i apologise.
well, it's beside the point who "them" means as they will be characters in a movie based around an idea. Seriously, I wasn't suggesting that you wanted the ideas, just that, that is an idea in itself and people should look at day to day occurences for their inspiration. Well, that's how I work anyway.

So concentrating on retaining power isn't exactly the main cause of problems.
I didn't say it was the main cause of problems. I said it was their primary concern. $150,000,000 spent on an election campaign whilst people are living below the poverty line?
Well I wanted it be a 'debate'. Instead I get childish snipes from imbeciles.
I've got thick skin though, oh, and a brain.
ACHA!!!!!!!
Let's see, checking brain....

Done, press start.
Records show 0 instances of being called an imbile before.
Add to memory? Y or N

Can your brain do that?
Well, as the word 'imbile' doesn't exist then it was probably wiser that you didn't save it to your memory, yes :-p
