Well, naturally, it would be something obvious. Thanks!

Sorry to be posting again, but I can't find the student version of Flash Pro 8 anywhere! All I found was one at gradware.com, and I know I saw it earlier at Amazon or someplace, so maybe I'm just not using the same search words or something. Any help?

-_-; Yeah, that sounds like the problem...because it would kind of work sporadically, and I guess I just wasn't picking up on when and why. Thanks!

For one reason or another, I can't seem to figure out the fill tool in Flash 8 (the trial version). I can tell it to close gaps of all kinds, but no matter what I do, it'll color sometimes and won't others. I figure I'm supposed to use the Paint tool for unusual shapes, although that's a pain. Lock me if this is a stupid question, but I didn't see anything else like this in the help or on the forums, and Flash is a complete mystery to me... /._.\

Thank you, that helps. I'm not having much luck finding Flash 6, but if I can get it, I will. :)

Questioning

Hi, I'm new to Newgrounds and Flash, and since I didn't see a thread for it, I was wondering which one do I get? I'm not looking for much of the pop and bang in Flash 8 or 7, since I'm going to be working on animation ONLY--either simple FBF or motion tweening, kerning if I need subtitles, adding in some music and sound effects here and there (for which I can just as easily enlist the assistance of Windows MovieMaker or some kind of music program). I know that Flash 3 and 4 are probably pretty cheap now, but they also don't perform very well by comparison. So, does, say, Flash 6 or 5 do what I want, and not yank on the wallet so much?

Thanks,
CK
