There is a thin line for me. After a certain point tattoo's, clothes, and piercings tell me that this person spends a lot of their brain power on their looks. Thats a turn off, because I can't get down with that. If you're funky fresh to begin with, you end up looking the part. While sexy, it is immature.

I like a look that can be put on and just as easily taken off. Permanent stuff if it doesn't have a deep meaning just doesn't do it for me. I mean my partner is covered in tattoos on his arms chest and back but they are military and biker tattoos and were taken to mean symbolic things.. no piercings on the face, no neck or upper chest tattoos that poke out under shirts.

Tattoos used to be things you got if you were in the military navy or part of a gang that tied you together as part of a team of crew.. now people get them because they wish to look cool - the tattoos tend to mean little if anything at all to them.

I think the only reason is more the symbology, and the legal benefits, that arise from it.

Mostly I think it is the legal benefits. Also for most gays it i simply the symbolism that they are not second class citizens when it comes to marriage, that they can have the same thing anyone else can. It is more about not being diminished in the eyes of society than anything.

Also what was different about my idea was lightboxes that don't need to be plugged in and can power themselves.
