the only time I listen to the radio is when it turns on to wake me up :)

so yesterday was fun when q magically came alive and started talking to people , setting permissions, etc etc..

rules are a lot more relaxed now - all the scripts are gone - you can talk about audio and all that other jazz and you can even advertise yer shit. All the op power is in q now so its more centralized now.

actually thats not true - mine comes with an adapter that also makes it a mic - and can be used as such - it's just that amazing :)

there are no longer any ops in the channel.

I have stripped everyone of ophood because noone ever really used their op powers and the original agreement was that those who had ophood would help promote the room on a regular basis - all ops have failed in this department - thus demotion for all!

I still might consider new ops if they actually do their job and promote the goddamn place. But for now its just me the admin and Q the bot.

Hobbyists come in and ask for gear recommendations, and instead of focusing on things the hobbyist is likely to both afford, and feel is worth the outlay, people come in and say "Just buy <random expensive microphone> and run it through <random expensive preamp> " without regard to the fact that someone who's asking for advice in a hobbyist-level forum and doesn't specify that the budget is expansive probably isn't looking for 'top of the line' shit.

Never mind the fact that inexpensive equipment can consistently provide excellent results. I don't understand the equipment related elitism in this forum.

Years ago, in the philosophy thread, I decided to come up with an ideology that would completely reject all logic.

I called it - Anti-Sense - or chronamutism - but Anti-Sense caught on better.

Basically the more illogical a thing is - the more logical it is in the world of anti-sense.

It was foolproof.

For example I am never wrong. But you ask yourself you must be wrong sometimes - nope - I am never wrong. But that doesnt make sense! Exactly. Thus it is valid.

And I am also always right - but that also doesnt make sense - surely you must be wrong sometimes - nope I am always right - impossible! - thus it must be valid.

In short, I am always right.

You can use this philosophy for many things - discuss it's epic awesomeness.
