Knox's style suits flash, what with the having still frames for ages and all. This allows him to make the image quality higher.
Since the average viewer is a total noob, when they vote they compare the quality of the images much more than they will compare the plot or cinematography.
Hence proper claymation (without pauses and stillframes) will get a lower score because it looks worse than knox's once transformed into a flash.
